THE BRIDAL Express, Lock Haven and The Evening News, Jersey Shore Barbara Spinney, Russel Evans, Married March 14 NEW CASTLE Miss Barbara Ann Spinney became Mrs. Russell Allen Evans in a double ring ceremony March 14 performed by the Rev. C. Mervin Schwab in the Croton United Methodist Church, New Castle. The bride is the granddaughter of Wilfiam Spinney and Mr.

and Mrs. G. L. Hunter, of Jersey Shore. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a street- length, A-line dress and was veiled with a whimsey.

She carried a nosegay of pink daisies', sweetheart roses and white baby's breath. Mrs. Thomas Burns, the bride's sister, was matron of honor and Mr. Burns served as best man. Parents of the couple are Mr.

and Mrs. Robert F. Spinney, 819 Pearl New Castle, and Mr. and Mrs. William A.

Evans, 821 Beckford New Castle. A reception for 50 guests was held in the church social room! The couple reside at 801 Highland New Castle. The new Mrs. Evans will graduate this month from the Jameson Memorial Hospital School of Nursing and plains to stay on as a staff nurse at the Jameson hospital. Her husband served two yers in the army, one year in Vietnam.

He is employed by Rockwell Standard. Miss Deanna Myers, Norman Pickering Plan June Wedding Mr. and Mrs. Orvis Myers, 112 Prospect announce the engagement of their daughter, Deanna, to Norman Pickering son of Mr. and Mrs.

Norman Pickering, 114 Prospect St. The bride-to-be is a graduate of Lock Haven High School Class of 1968 and is employed by the Lock Haven Garment Co. Mr. Pickering is a 1965 graduate of Bald Eagle-Nittany High School. He is a Vietnam veteran and is employed by Hammer- mill Paper Co.

A June wedding is planned. Miss Jeanne VereMi, Bill Nett Were Married Saturday In St. Agnes BRIDE IN SATURDAY CEREMONY Miss Jeanne Marie Verelli and Bill C. Neff were married Saturday afternoon, April 12, in the St. Agnes Roman Catholic Church.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Rocco A. Verelli, Lock Haven, R.D., and Mr. Neff is the son of Mr.

and Mrs. Billy A. Neff, Mill Hall R.D. 2. They are residing at Mill Hall R.D.

Neff, Saturday afternoon, April 12 at 2 o'clock, at the Saint Agnes Roman Catholic Church in a ceremony performed by Father John J. Burkardt. The bride is the daughter of Mr.

and Mrs. Rocco A. Verelli, Lock Haven, and was given in marriage by her father. Mr. Neff is the son of Mr.

and Mrs. Billy A. Neff, Mill Hall R.D. 2. The maid of honor was Joyce Ann Verelli, sister of the bride, and bridesmaids were Miss Bonnie Condo, Miss Linnetta Long, both of Lock Haven, and Miss Diane Golomb, Warren, Pa.

Ushers were James Hazel, Mill Hall, Ronald Brungard, Lock Haven, and Mark Golomb, Warren, Pa. The bride's floor-length gown was of peau de soie and rose point lace. It was designed with scalloped Sabrina neckline, petti point sleeves, Empire waistline and an A-line skirt enhanced with a panel of lace. A full- length detachable Watteau train of peau and re-embroidered lace appliques topped with a Dior bow fell softly from the shoulder line. A cluster of matching petals edged with seed pearls and crystal drops was attached to a bouffant veil of imported silk illusion.

She also wore a double strand of pearls which were worn by her mother on her wedding day. The bride carried a cascading bouquet of white carnations and white pompons and daisies. The maid of honor and bridesmaids wore identically fashioned floor-length gowns of ice blue chiffon over taffeta, designed wdth ruffled necklines, long French sleeves with ruffled trim, empire waistlines and sheath skirts. A contrasting color of blue satin enhanced the waistline with Dior bow attached at the back of the gowns. A cluster of matching daisies BETHROTHED Miss Deanna Myers and Norman Pickering Jr.

are planning a June wedding. The engagement is announced by Miss Myers' parents, Mr. and Mrs. Orvis Myers of 112 Prospect St. Mr.

Pickering is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Norman Pickering, 114 Prospect St. June is still the most marrying month, with 14.7 per cent of all couples in 1967 taking their vows then. Runner-ups were August, September and December in that order.

The number of marriages in America has grown from 1,451,000 in 1958 to over two million in 1968. W1LLIAMSPORT Miss Susanne E. Vogel became the bride of John W. Leisenring, son of Mr. and Mrs.

John B. Leisenring, Park Woolrich, Saturday morning, April 19 at 11 o'clock at the St. Boniface Roman Catholic Church, Williamsport. The Rev. John Osborn performed the double ring ceremony.

The bride, daughter of Mrs. Edwin A. Vogel, 701 Woodland Williamsport and the late Mr. Vogel, was given in marriage by an uncle, Norbert Vogel, Williamsport. The attendants were all cousins of the bride.

Mrs. William Chatley, Hopewell, Va. was matron of honor, Mrs. Thomas Bruner, Laurel, Md. and Miss Valinda Vogel, Williamsport, were bridesmaids.

The best man was Ray Cunningham, brother-in-law of the bridegroom, of Corning, N.Y. Ushers were brothers of the bridegroom: Donald Leisenring, and Edward Leisenring. The brides floor-length gown was of delustered satin with an Emipire waistline trimmed with lace inserts and a bow. A Sabrina neckline was trimmed with Venice lace and sequins. The elbow length sleeves were edged with ruffled lace and a bow.

A full Watteau Chapel train hung from the shoulders. The veil was attached to a headpiece of was attached to their veils of silk illusion. They carried Colonial bouquets of blue carnations, white pompons and daisies. Organ music was played by Theresa Howbert and Schubert's "Ave' Maria" was sung by Michael Palischak. White gladiolus adorned the church.

Following the ceremony there was a reception at the Dutch Inn, Mfll Hall, for 150 guests. Other nuptial parties included a shower for the bride griven by Mrs. Bruce Clarke, bride's aunt, and Miss Joyce Verelli, bride's sister, for 15 guests. There was also a rehearsal party at the home of Mr. and Mrs.

Billy A. Neff for 22 guests. Mrs. Neff is a graduate of Lock Haven High School and is a senior at Philipsburg State General Hospital School of Nursing. Mr.

Neff is a graduate of Bald Eagle-Nittany High School and Lock Haven State College. He is a teacher at the BEN high school. The couple will live at Mill Hall R.D. 2. Bridal Shower For Miss Croes JERSEY SHORE Miss Paula Croes was honored at a recent bridal shower given by Mrs.

Leon Brumley. Miss Croes will become the bride of Richard Luguori. OB May 17. Guests attending the shower were Mrs. Jack Croes, Mrs.

Ray Callen, Mrs. Jack Derr, Mrs. Robert Sealy, Mrs. Clyde Eigenbrod and Mrs. Joseph Lazorka, all of Jersey Shore; Mrs.

A reception was held at the Carl'ton Manor. The bride is a graduate of Williamsport High School and Williamsport Area Community College and is employed as a medical secretary by Drs. Lyon, Orr, Cooper, Nelson and Hippie in Williamsport. Mr. Leisenring is an Engineering Technician at the Pennsylvania Department of Highways in Montoursville.

He is a graduate of the Lock Haven High School and the Williamsport Area Community College. He has served four years with the U.S. Coast Guard. Mr. and Mrs.
