Hernandez, 51, who died Thursday in Beekman Hospital several hours after suffering a stroke in his office in the Manhattan Municipal Building, will be held at 10 a.m. tomorrow in the Fulferton Funeral Home, 131 Merrick Road, Baldwin. Burial will be in the National Cemetery, Pinelawn. Mr. Hernandez, who had held the legal post since 1936, had specialized in the trial of real estate tax exemption and certiorari matters and was regarded as an expert in this line of practice.

He began his legal practice with the law firm of Harris Towne, Manhattan. Born at the Fort Hamilton Army post, he was of Maj. Randolph J. Hernandez, Army bandmaster stationed at Mrs. E.

McHugh, Mother of Priests Mrs. Eleanor O'Brien McHugh, widow of James E. McHugh and mother of two priests, died suddenly Friday at her home, 365 Clinton Ave. The funeral will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. from the William Martin Funeral Home, Classon Ave.

and Sterling Place, followed by a solemn requiem mass in St. Joseph's R. C. Church, Pacific St. and Vanderbilt Ave.

Her sons, the Rev. Edward J. McHugh, assistant pastor at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Astoria, and the Rev. Francis X. McHugh, assistant at St.

Therese of Lisieux Church, Brooklyn, will assist at the mass. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. Besides the two priests Mrs. McHugh is survived by another son, Robert E. McHugh, who is connected with the New York Fire Insurance Rating Organization.

Mrs. McHugh, a native of Manhattan, came to Brooklyn at an early age and had spent most of her life here. She was a member of the Cathedral College, Council Auxiliary of and Catholic the Wom- Naen. Her husband, who had been with the New York Telephone Company for 40 years, died in November, 1949. Mary Lee, 76 Riverhead, Jan.

13-Mary Lee, lifetime resident here, died today. For 25 years Miss Lee was State transfer tax clerk of Suffolk County and for a longer period was associated with her brother, the late Harry Lee, founder and proprietor County Review, a weekly newspaper now known as the NewsReview. Brizzi, Boro Undertaker The funeral of Joseph Brizzi, 56, borough undertaker, who died Thursday of heart failure at his home, 3921 Fort Hamilton Parkway, be held Tuesday from Brizzi's Funeral Home at that address. He had frequently served as a grand juror. Mr. Brizzi was a member of the Archbishop John Hughes Council, 481, Knights of Columbus; of his parish Holy Name Society and the Flower of Borough Park, an Italian mutual aid society. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Emma Brizzi; nine children, Nicholas, Vito, Mrs.

Brooklyn Woodhaven A solemn requiem mass for Mrs. Mary Nicholson of 653. who died Wednesday, Woodward Ridgewood. fered yesterday in St. Brigid's R.

C. Church. The funeral was from the White Funeral Home, 66-06 Fresh Pond Road, Ridgewood. Burial was in St. John's Cemetery.

Mrs. Nicholson, a member of the Ridgewood Democratic Club, was an assistant deputy sheriff Mrs. Carrie E. Burns, widow of E. Reed Burns, founder of the E.

Reed Burns Manufacturing Company, makers of buffing and polishing compounds, Brooklyn, died yesterday at her home, 964 Park Place. She was 95 on' Dec. 7. Mrs. Burns, a native of Manhattan, had lived in Brooklyn since 1892, and for years was active in the work of the Marcy Ave.

Baptist Church, long serving as president of its Women's Missionary Society. She continued her interest in the work following the merger of the Marcy Ave. church with Emmanuel Baptist some years ago. At one time Mrs. Burns was president of the Colonia Club, a woman's reading and literary organization.

She took a keen interest in the progress of Brooklyn and often recalled the excitement the attending opening of the Brooklyn Bridge which she walked across on the day it was opened. Her husband died in 1927. She is survived by three sons, Herbert R. and Lloyd S. Burns of Garden City, and Russell H.

Burns of Somerville, N. six grandchildren and one greatgrandchild. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. tomorrow at the Fairchild Chapel, 951 Atlantic with the Rev. Dr.

Theodore E. Miller, pastor of Emmanuel Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Evergreens Cemetery. C. G.

Soderstrom, Former Carpenter Charles G. Soderstrom, 80, of 1558 E. 17th died Friday after several months' illness. He was a retired carpenter who for many years was in large construction projects. Mr.

Soderstrom came to this country from Sweden shortly after the turn of the century and had resided in Brooklyn since. He was member of Olympic Lodge, Order of Vasa, and had been a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters since 1905. and his wife, Anna celebrated their golden wedding anniversary. Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Marta C.

Riedemann; a son, John G. Soderstrom, and a granddaughter, Carol Jane Soderstrom. Funeral services will be held at 8 o'clock tonight at Ericson Ericson's Chapel, 500 State St. The Rev. Fred Crossland, pastor of the Advent Lutheran Church, Avenue and E.
