The Grand Forks Rotary Club won first prize in the Fall Fair parade. Showing the world, along with several young people, dressed in costumes of different nationalities, it was very impressive.

Rotarian Chas. Senay kept the world turning for the length of the parade. Items to be donated can be picked up by this Committee, or donors may leave them at the Beasley Farm. Ben Ralph The community of Grand Forks was saddened by the passing of Mary Ann Ralph, wife of Ben Ralph and a long time resident of the valley, who died Tuesday, September 6 at the age of 85. Mrs. Ralph was born at Broadhembury, Devonshire, England in 1881. She came to Canada in 1914 just prior to outbreak of World War I. She married Bennet John Ralph in Vancouver on June 4 of that year and they resided at Fort Langley.

In 1916 she moved with her husband and infant daughter to the Grand Forks area at the Orchard Company, her husband taking over the management of that farm. She moved with her family to the Sunnyside fruit farm which was owned by the Canadian Bank of Commerce in 1919. Her husband managed the farm and they resided there for 22 years. During 1940 she moved with her family to Grand Forks where her husband and son managed Ralph's Greenhouses. A devoted wife and mother, she is survived by her husband, a daughter, Mrs.

Hume Ritchie one son, Bill, one sister, Bess Manly, Exeter, Devonshire, and two granddaughters, Mrs. Andy MacLaren, Vancouver, and Janice Ralph of Grand Forks. Services were held Thursday, September 8 at 2 p.m. from Manly Funeral Chapel, with interment in the family plot in Evergreen Cemetery. Rev.

E. G. White officiated. Manly Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. St.
