I Ruiz and several other employes of I the electric company were at W'ork on I the south side of the Vizcaya Sierra I store at the corner of Flores Avenue i and Iturbide street transferring the' wires to some poles which had been reset from the street back toward the sidewalk.

Ruiz was at the top of the I electric wire pole, a distance of about forty feet from the ground, while neath him working on the pole about half way down was another employe. At the top he was held by a safety belt which encircles the waistband and has an attachmtmt to attach to i the crossarms or pole. While Ing at the top the safety belt way and Ruiz was precipitated back-' 4 ward and he grabbed the secondary electric wire and as his grasp ed he experienced a terrible had he grabbed the main wire which 4, earned 2,.100 volts, he would have I been electrocuted Instantly, as it was surcharged with electric current. He exlricatid himself from his perilous position and dropped downward, falling astride of the shoulders of the workman below, who carried him to the cement sidewalk in safety. It wa.s a miraculous escape from a double tragic by electrocution aliove or by the impact of the fall to the cement sidewalk, but fate seined to intervene In behalf of Ruiz each time.
