The amount of help we have can determine the hours we air in the summer." KWCR has now a staff of 20 to 30 people which includes Ron Nicks, program director; Steve Peterson, music director; and Kevin Folkman, news director. Each of the 13 disc jockeys has a certain shift during a week and aside are the news, copy and promotion personnel. The station is in room 455 A of the Fine Arts Center and listeners interested in informing KWCR of their views can either write a letter in care of Weber State College or drop a note in the station's box at the Student Activities Center.

DR. NINNEMANN, DR. JACKSON, AND DR. SLABAUGH (left to right) will be part of a series of lectures to be held beginning April 24. WSC lecture series deals with The individuals involved with KWCR-FM, the campus radio station, are debating on whether or not to shut down operation during the summer months.

KWCR, which has existed on campus for seven years, is currently on the air from 2 p.m. to 1 a.m., Monday through Thursday, and on Friday to 3 a.m. on Saturday from noon to 2 p.m. and Sunday, 12:30 to 2 p.m. The station features a "progressive rock" type music as the "Doobee Brothers," "Led Zepplin," "The Allman Brothers," and "TheByrds." According to Station Manager Rich Ashby, "We stayed on last summer but we had problems such as a limited staff, heat and bugs." "We hope we can get some response from our listeners, if enough response is positive we'll gladly stay on for the summer.

Also letters can give us an indication of the listeners we do have." He continued, "As for the staff, VD, transplants, cancer issues cer researcn last juiy. ur. Slabaugh did his cancer research at Iowa State University in Iowa. Alpha Sigma Mu, the Society for Microbiology at Weber State, is sponsoring these lectures. They have 27 active members, and were organized fall quarter.

The final lecture, to be presented May 8 will be a panel discussion dealing with cancer research. Three doctors will be included in this discussion. They are Dr.

John L. Ninnemann, Dr. Lee E. Jackson and Dr. Michael R.

Slabaugh. Dr. Jackson, worked in Dallas at the Anderson Hospital and Tumor Institute, dealing in mam-mory cancer. Dr. Ninnemann did his post doctorate work at the Sloan-Kettering Institute for can- Flea market Weber State College is sponsoring their first annual "Flea Market," to be held in the Union Building ballroom, April 20-21.

This event is open to the public. Sale hours will be from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. April 20, and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

April 21, said Ray Myers, WSC Student Activities CARDINAL KEY BLUE KEY A series of lectures dealing with various aspects of health will be presented at Weber State College on three consecutive Tuesdays, beginning April 24, 7 p.m. in the Union Building Auditorium. The first lecture will deal with venereal disease, specifically with the V.D. problem in Utah. Ms.

Dionne Evansen, the director of the Salt Lake City and County venereal disease clinic, will speak. Ms. Evansen is a registered nurse. The second lecture, May 1, will be an overview of organ transplants. Dr.

Ralph Macfarlane, a cardiologist will deliver this lecture. Dr. Macfarlane has written several books dealing with AWS sponsors WSC convention Women from various campuses throughout the state and region will attend meetings today as the Associated Women Students of Weber State College sponsors their state convention. Officers of AWS encourage all women students of WSC to attend these meetings which will begin with a registration at 10 a.m. in the Union Building Auditorium.

The convention will include a review of the national convention, which was held in Pennsylvania with several WSC students participating. There will also be group and panel discussions.
