"In our first vear we were on the air for 20 hours a PJ lite A 4 week; now we're on the air for 76 hours," Mr! Threlkeld said. KWCR FM operates from noon until midnight Monday through Friday and from 8 a.m. until midnight on Saturdays.

"We have educational programming from noon until 7 on weekdays and 'progressive' or 'hard rock' from 7 p.m. to midnight and all day on Saturday," he said. "We try to avoid playing 'bubble gum' music," he continued. The station will broadcast all Weber State home varsity baseball games this spring and the staff is also forming plans to broadcast the Big Sky Athletic Conference baseball championship to be played in Ogden in late May. A KWCR program, "What's Going On," will highlight the upcoming student elections with interviews of candidates and discussion of campus issues.

"We will have a program guide available starting March 20. Students may pick one up at the radio station or the Department of Communications office," he said. "We staff the station from all students on campus and not just speech majors," Mr. Threlkeld pointed out. Weber State students interested in working at the station can get information from Mr.
