Luenna Gladys Sims, teacher in the O. L. Price School for the past fifteen years, passed away at her home at 508 East Third Street, this morning at 5:18. She was born in Right, Tennessee March 16, 1909, and was reared by her aunt, Mrs. M.

C. May, Mortician, in Taylor, Texas. Aside from teaching in the Taylor Public Schools, Mrs. Sims was formerly employed at Prairie View A College, Hempstead. Texas, and at Fisk University, Nashville, Tennessee.

She is survived by one daughter, Maethel Sims, one brother, Herbert Holt, of San Antonio, Texas, two sisters, Mrs. G. Vivian Watson, and Mrs. Dovle Brown, Ohio. Funeral arrangements pending.

Wanted to Buy Heal Estate Blood Program Leaders Named For Georgetown Dr. James Houghton, chairman of the Willamson County Red Cross blood program, has named Dr. Frank Clark and Mrs.

Lester L. Ihms as chairman and co-chairman for the program in Georgtown. The mobile blood bank will be in Georgetown to collect blood on August 31, and in Taylor the following day, September 1. Dr. Houghton has indicated that he will start soon to org ize Taylor for the giving of the quota of 148 pints of blood Georgetown also has a quota of 148 pints.

The blood Ls given all citizens; of Williamson County when needed free of cost, and should a citizen need blood in a hospital outside of Taylor, ail he needs to do is to indicate this county participates in tv Red Cross blood program in the Waco region, an he will receive a transfusion free of cost. The only charge is for the small laboratory fee, which includes the tpying, the cross matching of blood, and the equipment for giving the transfusion. Farmers Gather Maize Load For Needy Country In answer to a call from a needy country, the members of the All Lutheran Food Appeal of Williamson and Travis counties rural Lutheran churches, have since last Wednesday gathered together from the surrounding farmers one car load of maize or 80,000 pounds. Carl Larson, secretary of the state board of All Lutheran Food Appeal reported to the load of Jordan, Press Monday, that the maize is consigned to in the Holy Lands.

The maize will go by rail to Houston where it will be loaded on a boat for the final lap of its journey to Jordan.
