Douglas Russell and individuals.

Organized in 1965, it represents 200,000 Canadians. Mr. Lane is the first full-time worker to be appointed by the EFC and works at the organization's Willowdale office. Morals affect economy "There's all this work to be done but those two can't see it," a store supervisor complained about a couple of clerks. They couldn't see it because they weren't looking.

It isn't funny. Some people don't have any conscience about putting in a full day's work for a day's pay. They dwaddle around with one eye on the clock and their mind on the next pay cheque. This sort of thing is having a drastic effect on our economy. If the boss has to pay two people to do the work of one he is paying out twice as much as he should for wages.

You know what happens next. Prices go up and the customer ends up paying more for his goods because somebody is loafing on the job. That's one cause of inflation we don't hear much about. The slacker is a headache to the boss and those who have to work with him. He loses the satisfaction that comes from a job that is well done.

It's another case of being in NICK OF TIME BARI, Italy (AP) Thieves broke into a church near here only a few days before a burglar alarm system was to be installed. Police said they escaped with 50 vases from the 4th and 5th centuries, a painting of the Madonna and a statue of Christ. BETHANY BAPTIST CHURCH 3901 44 Street Pastor: James W. Sacred Heart Church Corner of 55 Street and 49 Avenue Sunday Mass Hours: 9, 11 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. trouble because we have got away from the Bible pattern for living. The rule is that man shall eat bread by the sweat of his brow and that if he won't work he shouldn't eat. The application of these principles would help our economy and make a lot of happy bosses.
