Today, his original church is a museum surrounded by another church, a home for the aged, a rectory-retreat house, a hospital and a home for retired priests. St. Albert parish is not led by one man, but by a 10-member team of clergy which use tape recorders, slide projectors, folk masses and believes in total involvement with all people no matter what their beliefs.

Sister Celina likes songs 'a little more jazzy' City choirs beware! A new children's choral group has been formed by Sister Celina of St. Joseph's convent, and they are making great sounds of music. The ecumenical choir, comprised of Catholic, Presbyterian, Baptist, Anglican, United and Missionary Church youngsters, rehearses each Wednesday and Thursday in the Sacred Heart Church basement after school. are planning to enter the Kiwanis music festival," Sister Celina explained. "Next Wednesday we will perform at the Friendship Club.

Later, there will be a Sunday afternoon concert at Valley Park Manor and a performance for the parents of these children." About 30 youngsters exercised their voices Thursday, rehearsing secular and sacred selections. Among songs now being rehearsed are Deep in My Heart, Dear, a song from The Student Prince: There's None Like Him, a recessional piece from the American mass program composed by Father Clarence J. Rivers; and 76 Trombones, from The Music Man. Sister Celina keeps a sharp ear open as the children rehearse. is off key?" she asked with motherly persistence as the children exercised their voices with a musical rendition of the alphabet.

Confession may be painful, but it's necessary. We have all sinned. The Bible says if we confess our sins, God will forgive us. That's a wonderful promise but it's conditional. We must confess before God can forgive.

There's no other way. But somebody says, "Wait a minute! I'm not that bad! I don't have much to confess!" Take a close look. Have you always loved God with all heart, and others as yourself? Have you ever told a lie? your Did you ever steal anything? Have you been guilty of lust? Did you ever take God's name in vain? Have you harbored envy, jealousy, bitterness, pride? Do you hate anybody? These are some of the things we must confess before we can be forgiven. When we have wronged others, we must confess to them. Have you lied about someone or stolen from them? Then tell them about it.

Ask them to forgive you. It won't be easy, but. it's right. Confession brings results. It.

makes it possible for God to forgive us. It clears the way to get things straightened out. if you have a question write Douglas Russell at 5806 41 Street Crescent, or call 346-6301. Liner stranded in Antarctic BUENOS AIRES (Reuter) Two Argentine navy vessels sailed today for a windswept Antarctic island to join two Chilean ships in the rescue of about 168 persons from the Norwegian liner Lindblad Explorer, aground on the icy outcrop called King George's Island. Conflicting reports from Santiago, Chile, and the vessel's New York agents left unclear whether the passengers were the Chilean navy ships, whether they were still huddled on the snow-swept island or whether they had left and then re-boarded the Lindblad because of severe weather conditions. It appeared clear, however, that the passengers and crew were all unharmed although the Lindblad was in a "critical situation," the agents, Lindblad Travel said.

Peron ready to run in '73 BUENOS AIRES (Reuter) Former Argentine president Juan Peron is willing to run for president in Argentine general elections in March, 1973 but he wants the election brought forward to this year. Peron's personal representative, Hector Campora, said Thursday the 76-year-old former president "is not opposed to his candidacy if that's what the people want." But observers said Peron, who went into exile after a military uprising ended his nineyear iron rule in September, 1955, is unlikely ever to return to Argentina although he still commands the support and loyalty of millions of Argentines. Instead, they believe the exdictator is manoeuvring to ensure victory at the polls for his badly-split followers. Massive trade review planned BRUSSELS (AP) The United States and the six countries of the European Common Market announced today they will start in 1973 a comprehensive review of international trade designed to improve the standards of the people of the world. They asked other countries to join them.

Japan and the United States announced a similar agreement Wednesday. The aim was stated as "the expansion and ever greater liberalization of world trade and improvement in the standard of living of the people of the world." The way to do this, they said, included dismantling obstacles to international trade. Flap rages over chess match site MOSCOW (Reuter) The viet. Chess Federation accused United States grandmaster Bobby Fischer Friday of trying to impose conditions favorable only to himself on his world title match against reigning champion Boris Spassky of Russia. In a statement issued here, the Soviet body also lodged an official protest with the World Chess Federation over its handling of the choice for the site of the match.

Soviet chess officials learned Wednesday, it said, that the 28- year-old Fischer has rejected a proposal to meet Spassky in Reykjavik, Iceland, June 25, despite a preliminary agreement. A second target was Max Euwe, the Dutch president of the world federation. The statement accused him of violating his organization's own ruling on a deadline for Soviet and American lists of acceptable sites. 70,000 houses for Bangladesh OTTAWA (CP) A program to build about houses in war ravaged Bangladesh will start next week, Henry Selz, CARE's director in Dacca, told a news conference here today. Christian cooks warn they'll fight VANCOUVER (CP)--An official of the Christian Labor Association of Canada denied this week a charge that the CLAC is not a bona fide union.

Neil Roos, the union's representative for Western Canada, was commenting on charges made last month by the Vancouver and District Labor Council. The council adopted a report which charged the CLAC does not process grievances or go to arbitration, and is run by management. The charges centred on the specific case of a North Vancouver bakery employing CLAC members whose salaries were below those enjoyed by members of the Bakery and Confectionery Workers' Union. Roos said he will take the council to court if it proceeds with a planned boycott of the bakery's products. "We are not going to sit back and watch them throw our 130 members at the bakery out of work." he said.
