Well, it's a gift right enough, but it's self-given. Most certainly, help is to be found at exercise and massage salons.

A gift certificate to either is a present to value. But in the last analysis, figure improvement is a do- it-yourself proposition. You have to do the exercise and take the massage, -if you want better proportions. To lose weight you have to do the dieting. Advice on the subject, even your doctor's, is worthless unless you follow it.

At this season, when tables groaning with plum pud- dings and mince pies, reducing may seem a more forbidding project than usual. Only a killjoy would suggest it at present. What can be proposed in good conscience is a small red gift basket tagged like' so: "From Me to Me, a Diet and Exercise program 1971." Fill this treasure with diet menus, a calorie counter, spot exercises--anything you find that will be helpful to a trimming routine. Then place your basket with other gifts you've assembled and let it'be a cheery reminder of the shape of things to'come. On January 2nd begin using its contents and helping yourself to the supreme gift of a lovelier figure in the New Year.
