At The Movies CAPITOL THEATRE For tense excitement, Third which opened yesterday at the ('ujtitol Theatre, surpasses any of the current screen melodramas. Dolores Costello, the star, rises to magnificent emotional hcightN in the role of Annie, a trapeze rider in a Coney Island side show, most unlike the part in Sea in which she first won fame. Louise Dresser, who is featured in tne supporting role of Annie's mother, surpasses her moving pel formation of the mother in "Broken Hearts of Hollywood." Of course, as the title suggests, there is the tonifying and grilling degree," with handsome Jason llohards the innocent victim; accused of murder of villainous Rockliffe Fellowes, who had been blackmailing his former sweetheart now that she had married a man of wealth. Kate Price is delightful as a circus performer, and tho remainder of the cast excellent Third Decree" gives you the highest degree of thrills and entertainment of any of the recent films, because of story, acting and the marvelous direction of Mieheal Curtiz, fresh from European successes. 1 ELTINC.E THEATRE A Cossack duel a highly thrilling and extremely dangerous pastime in- i vented by the former soldiers of the a spectacular and dramatic scene in "The Tender Hour," which conies to the Eltinge for Wed nesday and Thursday.

This particular form of duel is fought, by two men armed with revolvers and carrying lanterns, who start at opposite ends of a forest and stalk each other down. This bloodthirsty form of amusement is, said to have been started by Bus sian soldiers stationed in the lone ly wastes of Siberia, who will ing, after months on the snowy steppes, to risk their lives in order to provide themselves with a thrill.
