JAMES I. VIVONA, 84, of Naples, Rorida, died Sunday, January 10, 1993. Dr. Vivona had been a resident of Naples for five years, coming from Ramsey, New Jersey. He graduated from New York University School of Medicine and practiced general medicine in Canarsie for 28 years.

He then specialized in ENT for 15 years and finished his medical career with the New York City Branch of the State Department of Health Systems Management Dr. Vivona was active in numerous medical and community organizations including St Pius Council, Knights of Columbus, Canarsie Lions Club and the Holy Family Church's Choir. He was also a member of SPEBSQUA, the national barbershop organization. During World War he served as captain of the 242nd General Field Hospital. He is survived by his wife, Eleanor (nee Alberti); three daughters, Jacqueline Rice, Paula Rossini and Catherine Vivona; eleven grandchildren and one great- In Mem oriatn PATRICK CONSALVAS Christian Church of Canarsie It was President Lincoln's practice to attend church on Sundays.

One Sunday Lincoln expressed disappointment with the sermon. He stated it had one flaw, "it never challenged us to greatness." Our monthly Women's Ministries meeting will be next Thursday at 7:30 p.m. A warm welcome awaits you at all of our meetings.
