EXCELLENT REPORT FROM COL-OERED SCHOOLS The report for the month of March of the New Bern Public Schools, colored, is indeed a creditable one. This school is in charge of J. T. Barber the principal and his report shows that 945 pupils were enrolled. Of this number, six were new ones and the 'total enrollment this term is 951.

There are now 599 pupils in the school. The average daily, attendance is 518.25. FIRST SOFT. SHELL CRABS AR RIVE. The first soft shell Crabs appeared on the market this week.

We have a public highway that runs centrally from Newport to Cedar Point, on to Stella and other parts over this central highway go-carts, wagons, buggies, phaetons, transfers, and automobiles carrying products and people on business and pleasure.
