Higgins and Greene were joined iy one other Republican, Sen. Felix H. H. Flynn, Cadillac, in voting to eat Wilkowski. Following disposition of the Diggs and Wilkowski resolutions, the senate joined the house in adjourning intil next Monday night.

Check Chargi Charged with issuing a check with Insufficient funds, Luezern G. Dickson of Lirwood, demanded examination when ar- aigned before Judge James Fitpatrick in municipal court this morning. The examination was set for January 19, and Dickson was remanded to jail atter failing to furnish 1500 bond. Dickson allegedly purchased cher- ies locally last July 27 and paid tor them with a check for issued on the Peoples National Bank of Bay City. He was returned here face trial by the sheriff's department following his apprehension in Bay City.

Priests Ordered to Leave Rotary VATICAN CITY, Jan. --Rotary clubs do not enjoy the piritual sanction of the Roman Catholic church, but Catholic laymen who belong can decide for herasehes whether to resign or their membership, Vatican sources said today. This information was given in clarifying yesterday's Vatican decree forbidding Catholic priests, as apart from Catholic laymen, from belonging to Rotary clubs. Vatican sources said the decree, printed in the official newspaper Osservatore Romano, was a warning and a reminder to the clergy "to remain in their own spiritual and religious fields of action."
