The net outcome of 26 days of labor was a lengthy document setting forth generalities about what should be done but failing to say how.

Instead of leading to internal truce, the meetings of the economic council brought the resignation of the three agricultural members because of lack of action on farming and a declaration on behalf of the six labor members that they did not agree with Chancellor Bruening's conclusions on labor. 7:15 Odette Myrtil Oreh. "All those who, on both sides of the love and understand this civilization, who want to serve this civilization and defend its conquests, can fbrmulate but one wish that the vital energies of America and the vital energies of Europe become united and that over and above political divisions, the common cause of labor and of peace amongst men shall triumph."
