PACIFIC COAST-ALASKA County of Kings, entitled "map of property of N'ATIONAL PARK M' KKKORTS At a special meeting held yesterday afternoon at the Hotel Astor, Manhattan, steps were taken by the Legislative League of New York to save the ilfe of Paul Chapman, the i-year-old Brooklyn boy convicted of murder and now awaiting execution in the death house ut Sing Sing. ''Judging children by adult standards is wrong" proved to be the substance of the belief of the 150 women present. This keynote to the ideas of the whole afternoon's proceedings was struck by Marie Montaivo, the first speaker, who has been interested in the Chapman case from the beginning.

She told of her talks with the Chapman boy after he had been sent to King Sing and sketched briefly the circumstances connected with the crime. In conclusion she scored the laws of New York State which per mit the conviction of mere children, and characterized the jury which con victed l'aul Chapman as "sheep." Matthew T.
