That Wilmington people appreciate classical music rendered in arttetic style by skilled musicians and that there is plenty of trained talent in this city to render the more difficult compositions was again demonstrated last evening at the concert given by the Wilmington Choral Society in Grace church. Under the auspices of the Ep-worth League the i second part of the noted oratorio was sung before an audience of between 600 and 700 persons. The entire auditorium of the Sunday school room1 was fitted while a large number occupied seats in the gallery. The second part of the oratorio is rather more difficult than the first part, which was sung at St. Andrew's church several weeks ags, ana is more dramatic in character.

SEEKS TO SCALP HANSON rus rendered the different parts with plenty of life and with perfect harmony, while the solo parts were very good indeed. Too much credit cannot be given Mr. W.

Robertson, organist of St. James Episcopal church, who was the accompanist. The chorus is indebted to him for his skilled playing and a big part of the success of the evening's programme was due to his artistic and skillful rendition of the instrumental music Mr. Greene Fenley had the baritone part in the character of and on him fell the burden of the solo work. His" rendition of this part was done with fine ability and to the entire satisfaction of discriminating musical critics.

Miss Anna Graham Harris, contralto, had the choice solo of the evening in- the "Woe Unto ThemrThat Forsake Him," and as usual proved herself to be a real vocal artist. The quartette composed of Mr. J. R. Eddy, tenor; Miss Harris, contralto; Mrs.

Boylan, soprano, and Mr. J. F. Harris, bass, was another special feature of the evening. Their singing in the chorus was also an important part of the evening's programme.

The singing by the chorus as a whole was an artistic exhibition that pleased and delighted the large audience. Especially impressive was the rendition of the closing part by the chorus of the famous "Thanks be to God." It was in this that the chorus appeared to best advantage perhaps and their singing was done with consummate skill. The evening closed with the singing of the National anthem by the Choral Society while the: audience stood. Fritz Hanson has suddenly awakened from his dream of licking Pink Gardner tomorrow night to find that a cruel and bloodthirsty red skin is trailing him with the avowed intention of tak-i ing the Swede's scalp.

The aborigine, who is so anxious to tackle Fritz, is Chief War Eagle, of the Arapahpes, a former no.ted Carlisle football star, and the only Indian professional wrestler in the world. The chief is just now camped in Chicago, but has signified his intention of pitching his tepee in Wilmingon on March 28, provided Hanson will come out and do battle. As usual, Fritz is willing and it is practically assured that the Eagle will spread his wings in Wool-vin Hall on Wednesday week, and show the local fans how sharp his talons are. Although a highly educated man, Mr. War Eagle insists on going about clad in all the glory of a Sitting Bull, with his paint and feathers.
