Western Riding Little Chist Red, Linda Houseknecht, Chess match is on again REYKJAVIK, Iceland (UPI) The Boris Spassky-Bobby Fischer world chess match can begin Fischers favorite chair has arrived. --The swivel chair in metal and black leather was flown from New York to Iceland and put on the stage in the Reykjavik chess hall Sunday. Spasskys Russian advisers arrived shortly after the much talked about chair and studied it suspiciously.

Then they left without comment. Now the Icelandic organizers face a new problem: Where to find a similar chair in Iceland? It would look better if both Spassky and Fischer had the same chairs, said Gudmundur Thorarinsson, president of. the Icelandic Chess Federation. Fischer took one look at the dozen different chairs the Icelanders had assembled from Reykjaviks furniture stores the other day, sat down in some of them and then gave his verdict: Fly in my own chair. Spassky, the 35-year-old world champion, did not seem to worry much about details of the $250,000 match.

Before leaving for a. salmon fishing tour of northern-Iceland the defending champion said, I am notgdrnjrtoargue about chairs, chess boards and sets. I will leave that to Bobby. It makes no difference to me. After lengthy and dramatic preludes, both Fischer and Spassky appeared ready to start the first of their 24 games Tuesday.

Bobby is relaxed and ready. We will -play Tiiesday unless Spassky is ill, said Fred vice president of the U.S. Chess Federation. But the players still have to inspect and approve the facilities in the hall, where the Organizers expect. 3, 000 fans paying $5 each to be on hand NOTICE Danville Board of Health Has More Registered Quarter Horse Halter Raiders Music, owner, Larena Kursch, Bloomsburg RD Tulia Leo, Harry Ulshafer, 908 Roslyp Drive, Berwick; Wildn King, owner, Mrs- Jan Jurbla, Millville RD 2.

Watsontown; Tom ones JenniferSteel, Leighton; Smokey, owner, Stan AdamS'Adamson notch victories at Seinsgrove SELINSGROVE Two familiar faces turned up in victory lane at the Selinsgrove Speedway Saturday night. Bobbie Adamson, of Wnghtsville, pulled the A1 Hamilton Special in after recording his eighth sprint car win of the season, and Roy (Check) Adams, Sunbury, after a two week absence, was there after collecting his sixth win of the season. The Adamson faithful were showing some concern during the early stages of the 25-lap event, as Paul Pitzer, of Seven Valeys, was setting a blistering pace, while Adamson was having a tough time making his way through the heavy traffic.

But on the seventh lap the yellow was displayed, and although Adamson was running sixth, the yellow enabled him to regroup. and take off after the leaders. He quickly made his way into third spot and made it a three car battle for the lead. Following a 12th-lap restart Adamson took the runnner-up position away from Kramer Williamson, of Mechanicsburg and two laps later charged into the lead passing Pitzer in front of the main grandstand. He went on to win by 1.5 seconds over Pitzer, who was attempting to win back to back races on the Sel-Wil circuit and collect a $200 bonus.

Williamson finished a close third, with John Benyou, New Cumberland, driving an Adamson team (far, fourth, and Tom Spriggle, Camp Hill, was fifth. Rounding out the top 10 were: Len Seroka, Lee Osborne, Mike Lloyd, Sam Armstrong and Jim Sheaffer. Adams pushed his Ford into the lead "following a third lap restart, and although he refhained in command the rest of the way, he was pressured to the checkered by Ed Spencer, Berwick. Bob Bender, Rohrstown, finished a half a length behind Spencer, and Dale English, Flemington, was fourth. Sam Hollerbush, Mtr Wolf, was fifth.

Adamson set' a new 10 lap track record in a sprint heat, posting a time of 3:39.8 besting the old mark of 3:42.3 which he set earlier this year. Pitzer won the other sprint heat. Bill Shipman, Sunbury, and Elmer Drum, Montgomery, won late model heats, and English won the consolation.
