Street Car Schedule. For the present the Street Car Company has adopted the following schedule: First car leaves West Monongahela at 6:15 a.

returning leaves Ivill Tipple at 6:30 a. second car leaves West Monongahela at 6:45 a. returning leaves Ivill Tipple at third car leaves West Monongahela at 7:15 a. returning leaves Ivill Tipple at 7:30 a.m., and so on, making a round trip eyery half hour, and leaving West Monongahela at the quarter and three-quarter hours and Ivill Tipple at the half hours and even hours. The last trip down in the evening is made at 11 o'clock from Ivill Tipple.

decl3tf Golden Weddiug. Tuesday Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Robertson celebrated the fiftieth anniversary of their marriage at their home in Rostra ver township. Their recoid is rather an uncommon one.

They have reared a family of ten children, seven sons and three daughters, and in the long span of years death has not touched the home circle. Owing to the illness of the beloved mother the cele bration was a quiet one. Attorney Oliver Robertson, of Pittsburg, and J. J. Robertson, president of the Farmers' and Merchants' Bank, of West Newton, Pa.

Canteen May Stay, Tn connection with its consideration of the army reorganization bill, the senate committee on Military anairs to-day listened, to an argument by Adjt. Gen. Corbin for the continuation of the present canteen system in the army. The committee has taken no formal vote on the subject, but there has been exchange of opinion among members, the result of which has been favorable to the retention of the pres ent system and the elimination of the House canteen provision. The committee expects to conclude its hearings on the bill to-morrow.

Capt. R. L. Tidball, of Co. received a communication from Col.

Bar-nett in which he requests that the town where the companies of Tenth command are stationed donate their pro-rata share for the Hawkins mnnnmnt. The Cant, savs that Mon- ongahela's sum would amount to about 8500. It is likely that a meeting will be called and some action taken next week. Tho lnrv in the case of Harrv Frew. charged with the murder of his brother- in-law, Norman King, returned a verdict of murder in the second degree and recommended Frew to the mercy of the court.

The penalty for second degree murder is 20 years imprisonment or less, in the penitentiary, at the option of the court. Rev. R. S. Young, formerly of the Homestead United Presbyterian church, who changed his creed and became pastor of the Clifton Presbyterian church of Homestead, has bten tendered the pastorate of the First Presbyterian church of Toledo, Ohio, at a salary of 93,000 per year.

Mr. Young will be remembered as rscent guest of Mr, A. O. Mitchell. Jacob Sheplar, of Davenport, Iowa, and daughter Mrs.

A. L. Smith, of Council Bluff, Iowa, are spending December days with Mr. and Mrs. Shelby Carmack.
