Silver Lake Traverse City, passed on Tuesday at Munson Medical Center. He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Patricia and Thomas Van Deventer: his father, Ronald Belanger of Battle Creek; one brother. Mark Allen, at home: one sister, Jo Ann, at home: his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Lymar.

Timothy was a Corporal in the Traverse City Young Marines, played cello in the school orchestra, had a 3- point. grade average in Glenn Loomis Elementary School where he was in 6th grade, played ball in school and was in Little League last summer. The funeral is scheduled for Friday at 2 p.m. at the Reynolds-Hanson Funeral Home in Traverse City with Mr. L.

Robert Rieb officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens. Traverse City. Friends may call at the Reynolds- Hanson Funeral Home beginning at 6 p.m. Thursday.

Florence Raftery Mrs. Florence (Bancroft.) Raftery, 75. of Bradenton, died Wednesday at the Manatee Memorial Hospital in Bradenton. She is survived by two sons, Clair G. Raftery of Bradenton, ana Marshall G.

Raftery of Brutus; one daughter, Mrs. Zehnder of Walled Lake; three brothers, Carl Bancroft of Lido Beach, Melvin Bancroft of Garden City, and Burton Bancroft of Columbia. and one sister. Mrs. Doris Fika of Saginaw.

She was preceded in death by her husband. Norville Kaftery. She was the daughter of Clarence and Alma i i Bancroft, born March 12, 1902. in Fife Lake. Mrs.

Raftery was affiliated with the Presbyterian Church in Bradenton. She had lived in Bradenton for the last 20 years and lived in Dearborn before that. She grew up in Fife Lake, leaving Fife Lake in the 1930's for Dearborn. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Smith Funeral Home in Kingsley with the Rev.

He was the son of Benjamin and Etina (Stinberg) Nelson, born April 10, 1896, in Good Harbor, Leelanau County. He married Gladys Kilwy in Good Harbor, Sept.

24, 1919. He was a member of the College Terrace Wesleyan Church, Traverse City. Mr. Nelson had lived in the Good Ha-bor-Leland area all his life. He was a sergeant in the United States Army during World War I.

serving in France, He was active years ago in the Leland Volunteer Fire Department. He did general farming and for 21 years was the custodian at the Leland Public Schools, retiring in 1961. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Martinson Funeral Home in Suttons Bay with the Rev. Dale Kessler officiating.

Burial will be in the Kilwy family cemetery, Good Harbor. She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, and one brother. Mrs. Carpenter was born April 8, 1916, in Traverse City, the daughter of David and Lenna (Lawson) Crouch. She was married Oct. 6, 1936, in Traverse City to Etron Carpenter of Old Mission Peninsula.

The couple lived in the area until moving to southern Michigan approximately 30 years ago. Funeral services are scheduled for Friday at 2 p.m. at the Connelly-Noble Funeral Home, 106 E. Ash in Three Oaks. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
