Jan was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Joanna R.
Kbsen. Jan was born Aug. 18, 1932. in Chicago, the daughter of Alfred and Dorothy (Flemming) Kbsen. The family 'moved to Marion, Iowa, in 1947.
She was a 1950 graduate of Marion High School and attended Coe College. Jan worked as a hook-keeperoffice manager for many years in the MarionCedar Rapids area. In her younger years she taught dance at Arthur Murray Studios. She loved gardening and was a member of the Master Gardeners of Iowa. She also was a very good artist, painting a number of things for her grandchildren and the Cancer Society auctions.
Jan was a longtime volunteer at the Marion Public Library and the Cedar Rapids Symphony. Jan was a very caring person, taking care of many family members and friends in their time of need. She truly loved her family and will be missed by all, especially her grandson, Adam, who could always get her to smile. A special thanks to all the friends and the neighbors on Daleview Drive who helped with my mom during her illness and to Barb and all the people at Hospice of Mercy. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Mercy.

He attended country schools in Benton, Tama and Iowa counties. Neff married Dorothy M. Lutz on May 9, 1934, at the Methodist parsonage in Ladora, Iowa. Besides farming, Neff drove a milk truck, drove school bus and ran a chain saw and lawn mower repair shop. Neff and Dorothy loved to travel.
They had visited 46 of our 50 states. He was a member of the Ladora United Methodist Church.
