ft. package NEW YORK (UPI) The killer" has struck again, this time wounding a young couple as they sat in a car in Queens early Sunday. The killer, who calls himself "Son of Sam." has murdered five persons and wounded six others in 1 1 months. Police said he shot 17-year-old Judy Placido of the Bronx and Sal Lupo. 20.

of Queens, as they sat in Lupo's car in Queens about 3 20 a.m. The couple was celebrating Miss Placido's high school graduation, police said. "It was the same weapon, the same psycho." a police department spokesman said after ballistics tests showed the shots were fired from the same pistol that has killed four women and one man since last July. Miss Placido was struck in the head and shoulder and Lupo was hit in the wrist, the spokesman said. They were taken to Flushing Hospital, where both were listed in stable condition.

Police say they received several hundred calls at their special telephone number after the shooting. A spokesman for the police task force assigned to the killer" cases said Sunday night "a couple of hundred calls came in. It always happens after something like this happens." He added that police had several witnesses and leads in the shooting but declined to elaborate. Another police spokesman said the couple "didn't get a good look at him because it was too dark. Before Sunday's shootings, "Son of Sam" methodically killed four young brunettes and one male and wounded four others on quiet residential streets of the Bronx and Queens in six incidents since July 29.

Dubbed the killer" because of the snub-nosed gun he uses, the killer has referred to himself as "Son of Sam" in a note found in the Bronx near the scene where a young couple was shot to death on April 17 his last shooting before Sunday. In that incident, he blasted through the windshield of a car in which 19-year-old Valentina Suriani sat with her boyfriend. Alexander Esau. 20. near Miss Sudani's Bronx home.

Miss Suriani died instantly. Esau died that night. In the April murders, the killer followed the same pattern as in previous shootings, but left a note for police which he signed "Son of Sam." Body of film producer snatched from cemetery CHICAGO (UPI) The body of movie producer Mike Todd has been stolen from the Waldheim Cemetery in suburban Forest Park, 111., authorities reported today. Officials said a woman visiting another grave at the cemetery discovered Todd's bronze coffin was empty and notified police. Police said the lid of the casket had been torn back and a rubber bag containing Todd's body had been removed.

Todd was killed in a 1958 plane crash and his body was burned beyond recognition. It was identified through dental records. Authorities said they could find no motive for the apparent body-snatching but were attempting to contact actress Elizabeth Taylor, who was married to Todd at the time of the crash, in an effort to determine if any ransom demand was made for the return of Todd's remains. Miss Taylor, now married to former Navy Secretary John Warner, could not be reached at the Warner residence in Warrenton, but a spokesman for the Warner household said no ransom demands were received at the house. Authorities were trying to reach Miss Taylor and Todd's son, who lives in a remote, rural area of Ireland.

Forest Park Police Investigator Michael Thompson said tool marks were found on the coffin lid and a glass top under the bronze lid had been shattered. He said the thieves had dug about 4V2 feet deep to reach the coffin. Thompson speculated it may have taken them four hours to remove the body. Police said the body apparently was taken between 5 p.m. Friday, when the Jewish cemetery closed, and 9 a.m.

Sunday, when it reopened. Thompson said there were no valuables on the body or in the grave. Three cops suspected in death of teen-ager BUFFALO, N.Y. (UPI) A Buffalo police officer is in custody on manslaughter charges and two others were expected to surrender today in connection with the weekend beating death of a North Buffalo teen-ager. Homicide Chief Leo J.

Donovan said Officer Philip Gra-maglia, 30, of suburban Balsdell. surrendered Sunday and was charged, with first degree manslaughter after evidence linked him to the death of Richard Y. Long. Donovan said he expected two other officers. Samuel Fus-co, 26, of suburban West Seneca, to surrender today and said he hoped for possible identification by witnesses of the beating of the 18-year-old Long.

All three were suspended without pay Saturday night by Police Commissioner Thomas R. Blair for failing to obey a court order to appear in a lineup. Witnesses told police that early Saturday Long was pulled by the hair from his parked car and stomped to death by as many as nine men, apparently after a traffic incident. Chief Donovan said a special term of the New York State Supreme Court in Buffalo will conduct a hearing prior to the lineup to set guidelines. "We are moving along cautiously Donovan said.

"This is unprecedented only because they are policemen." Donovan said "physical evidence" had linked Gramaglia to the beating. District Attorney Edward Cosgrove said a medal with the initial P.C.G. and the number 311. which is Gramaglia's badge number, was found at the scene. Gramaglia had gone to Sisters Hospital in Buffalo to inquire about Long's condition and, upon learning he had died shortly after being admitted, declined to make a statement.

Donovan said. The altercation apparently was precipitated by a traffic incident as Long drove home from his job as a restaurant bus-boy, Donovan said. The youth's landlord, Stanley Morse, told police that at least one man wearing pointed leather boots kicked Long directly in the head while another attacker took off one of his shoes and beat him with it. $142 Fresh Brisket of Beef Stop Shop 200 foot package Plump Meaty and Delicious 10 to 14 lb. u.s.
