Gyp-' sum Co. in Farnams and Francis Martel of Richmond Street asking that buildings owned by them be demolished or repaired, U.S. Gypsum has stated that three buildings will be razed by May 15, and those already demolished would be cleared of debris. While the Selectmen were commending the company for its prompt action, William Stephens, representing U.S. Gypsum, appeared before the board, reiterating the letter's contents and also stating that the old Farnams Post Office building is being sold.

He said if it were not sold, doors and windows would be closed in so that children could not get in, or the building would be torn down. Mr. Martel also appeared before the board and stated that the unsightly building on his property would be torn down gradually as he would like to salvage thelumber. He said that since he must do the work himself in his spare time, he could not give any definite date as to when it could be completed, but as requested by the Selectmen, he would report at end of July on the progress he has made. During Mr.

Stephens' presence, there was discussion on whether the narrow causeway road creates a dangerous situation with so many fishermen there on weekends. Mr. Stephens suggested that the road be filled, widened and a parking area made with trash barrels deposited on the site. He offered the cooperation of his firm with equipment help if necessary. Race and Willard Curtiss, selectmen, attended the recent Penno of Notch Road reported to the Selectmen Monday night that a goat she had last seen in December had been found dead in the river near her home.
