"Iks Young Savages'' Man Found Dead In Warriors Mark Twp. Cottage A 76-yeai'-old Blair retired railroader was found dead at his summer cottage at Dungarvin, in Mark Township, at 4 o'clock on Tuesday afternoon, July 4th, 1961. The lifeless body of Phjlip fleveland Harpster of 711 Second Avenue, Juniata, Altoona, was found lying across' the bed the cottage by several boys from the Dungarvin area who stopped to pay him a visit as had been their custom, on his frequent visits to his cottage. The lights in the cottage were burning when the boys received no answer to their call they went to the Bedroom found that expired. Coroner Blair Shore was summoned to conduct''an investigation.

The coroner learned that Mr. Harpster had planned to consult an Altoona. doctor before coining to hli cottage on Monday evening to spend the Fourth of July. Death was to natural causes, a heart attack. coroner stated that death had probably occurred on Monday night as Mr.

Harpster was undressed really to retire when he was "stricken. He' was lying cross-wise on the bed. was born at Bald Eagle, Centre County, on.Nov. 23, 1885, and was a son of George tHarpster and Nancy (Vaughn) Harpster. His wife, Effie (Thomas) Harpster, is deceased.

He was a retired shopman for the Pennsylvania' Railiroa'd Company. He was well known in the "Warriors Mark area. The body was taken to Juniata to be prepared for burial, and interment will be made In' East Lawn Cemetery at Tyrone.
