and Mrs. George E. Kirk, 1014 Twenty-fourth street, Moline. The service was read by the Rev. Mr.

Bloodworth in the Methodist church, Virginia Beach, Va. -Mrs. Richard Phippai attended the bride as matron of honor and Ensign Phipps served the bridegroom as best man. The bride, who was given in marriage by Lieutenant Commander Collins, wore a street-length dress of white silk jersey, her accessories being in a turf color. Her jewelry was a gift of the bridegroom, a gold wings pin and earrings set.

Orchids formed her corsage. Following the ceremony reception was held in the home of Lieutenant jloel and later a wedding dinner was served in Norfolk to members of the bridal party, Later in the evening the couple left for Natural Bridge, Va. Hoare, 1824 Eleventh street, Rock Island, and Elk Rapids, of the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Margaret Anne, to Robert Lance Fenske, son of Charles F.

Fenske, Manistee, Mich, The wedding will take place late this summer. Miss Hoare was graduated from Rock Island high school in 1938, and from Augustana college. She majored in music and biology and served as laboratory assistant in the junior and senior years in the zoology department. She was a member of the Augustana college choir and affiliated with the Sigma Mu Alpha sorority. During the past year Miss Hoare has been engaged graduate study at the Ohio State university where she is assistant in the genetics department.

Mr, Fenske was graduated from the Manistee high school with the class of 1935. He was graduated i from Augustana, summa cum laude, in 1939. He was president fthe Omicron Sfgma Omicron fraternity and was a member of the Observer staff. For the last three years he has been serving in an executive capacity of the Century Boat company In Manistee, engaged in the production of war matenaL Sunday School. H. Cutkomp, 521 Thirty-fourth street. Rock Island, announce the marriage of their daughter, Joanna, to Master Sergeant Garry A. Maitland, son of Mr. and Mrs.

Arthur Maitland, New York city, N. which took place July 29. The Rt. 1 Rev. James Moss Stoney, bishop of the New Mexico district, performed the ceremony in the St.

Johns Episcopal cathedral in Albuquerque, N. at high noon. The altar was decorated with palms, gladioli and Candelabra holding white tapers. There were no attendants. Tthe bride wore a street length dress of white marquisette and in her hair a cap arrangement of fresh, white flowers.

A wedding dinner was served at La Plasita after the service. Later Sergeant and Mrs. Maitland were guests of the Neil M. Clarks, in Cedar Crest, N. M.

After a week at- Deming, where the bridegroom is stationed at an army air base. Mrs. Maitland returned to Rock Island. Th bride was graduated from Rock Island high school. She has lived in Florida and New Orleans and is at present employed in-nhe property office at Rock Island arsenal.

Sergeant Maitland attended Brown university at Providence, R. I. He lived in Rock Island' for six years prior to entering service in 1941. Voice PupilTwill Give Program at Sanatorium Sixteen voice pupils of Miss Maureen Englin of the WHBF studios in Moline will give a concert tomorrow evening in the little theater of nurses home at the Rock Island county tuberculosis sanatorium. Wedding Anniversary Is Noted at Dinner' Party Mr. skid Mrs. Frank Weindruch, 1902 Twenty-first, Rock Island, entertained at a dinner party at their home last evening in observance of their 24th wed- ding anniversary. The celebrants have a son. Corporal Bernard, stationed at Camp Fanin, Texas, and 1 a son, Ira, at home.

Mr. Weindruch is 1 co-proprietor of the Eagle markets in the tri-cities. Mrs. Wein-druch is the former Lela Wis. The couple married in Rock, Island and has always resided I here.

Bride-elect MISS MARGARET A. HOARE. Miss Hoare and Robert Lance Fenske, of Manistee, both of whom attended Augustana college where they were outstanding students and prominent in campus activities, will be married in the late summer. Prenuptial Events Fete i Miss Elizabeth Morris Mr. and Mrs.

Miss Eloise Pratt Honored At Prenuptial Breakfast Miss Phyllis Holtz and Miss Miriam Maxwell were hostesses yesterday at a breakfast party in the home of the former at 2326 Eighteenth street Moline. Blend. Add cup water and pup vinegar gradually. Cook and stir until thick. Season. Cook cabbage in boiling water for 5 minutes.

Ellison, 4513' Fifteenth avenue, Island underwent an operation at the Moline Lutheran hospital Saturday. Miss Marjorie Wheeler, 1607 Twelfth avenue. Rock Island returned yesterday from a 10-day vacation trip to Detroit, Mich, where she visited her brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Collins.

Among the oldest members present were Mrs.

John Titterington, Taylor Ridge, Miss Sue Tittering-tonr, Rock Island, Mrs. Beulah Wood, Davenport, and Mrs. Adolph Dunlap, Taylor Ridge. The youngest was Gwendolyn E. Greer, Rock Island, five weeks old.

TINDALL. The 12th annual reunion of the John and Elizabeth Tindall family was held Sunday in Riverside park, Moline, There were 24 present and two visitors. Two of the members are in the navy, Francis Austin, San Diego, and William Curtis, Milan. Both are in the navy. At the business meeting in the afternoon the following officers were elected: President, Warren Tindall; vice president, Bessie Johnson; secretary-treasurer, Barbara Johnston.

John Tindall was the oldest member present and Mary Sharon Wells, Milan, the youngest. Those coming from the greatest distance 1 were and Mrs. Robert Goenne and daughter, Evelyn, Tipton, Iowa. There wil be a reunion next year the second Sunday, in August in Riverside park. COMPTON.

The Compton family held its 16th annual reunion yesterday in Lincoln park. There were 30 present and two visitors. After the noon luncheon -officers were named as follows: President, George F. Compton; vice president, Howard Wainwright, Hills-1 dale; secretary-treasurer, Miss, Bernice Wainwright. There were contests and relay races.

The oldest member present was George Compton, 82. Chesney Wainwright was the youngest. The reunion will be held next year on the second Sunday in August. SHERRAED, The Sherrard family reunion was held in the Andover park at Andover, 111., but many Rock Island members were unable to be present. SCHILLINGER.

The annual meeting of the descendants of John Jacob Schil-linger was held in Long View park with twenty-eight present The oldest direct descendant present was Mrs. Luella Schillinger Kern, Moline, a granddaughter, and The youngest Glenn Scherer, Jr. Officers who will serve next year are: President, Fred Eckermann, Sr, Rock Island; secretary-treasurer, Miss Annette C-; Schillinger, Moline, and vice president John Schillinger, Rock Island Members of the Stengel and Eckermann families attended. KINDELSPERGER. Forty members of the Klndels-perger family were present for the 14th annual reunion in Lincoln park.

Officers were reelected and plans made to meet in Lincoln park, the second Sunday in August in 1944. Dshlqulst-Simpson Rites. Mrs. Marie Dahlquist and George Simpson, both of Moline, were married at 8 oclock Saturday night in the residence of the Rev. J.

E. Connor, 2018 Fourteenth street who read the double ring service. Witnesses were the brides parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Needham.

Birthday Party at Home. A family party was held at-the home of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Col-lura, 716 Fourteenth strqet, Rock Island, Friday, to celebrate the 29th birthday anniversary of their son, John. Miss Rose, sister of the celebrant assisted ip entertaining.
