Boy Scout seeking kids' bike helmets For safety's sake, bicycles and helmets should go together. A Grantsville Boy Scout is trying to match the two to finish his Eagle Scout project.

Spencer Loveless and members of Troop 167 have fixed up a number of abandoned bikes they acquired from the Grantsville Police Department. Loveless now needs helmets to go with them. The boy scout intends to donate the bicycles to Grantsville Elementary School's bicycle safety program. The school holds a bike fair each year with assistance of the Grantsville Police Department. Teachers will help select students they think would like to participate, but who don't have a bicycle.

At the conclusion of the course, the children will be able to keep the bicycles and helmets. Anyone who has child-size helmets they no longer use and would be willing to donate may contact Spencer, 884-6218, or take them to Sgt. Brent Rowley at the Grantsville Police Department, 429 E. Main.
