E. Murphy gymnasium by the largest and most appreciative audience to attend the annual presentation.

MASSIE Methodist Youth To Give Program Mrs. P. Massie, Educator, Dies This Morning BESSEMER Mrs. Paul N. Massie, 72, prominent local educator.

died todav at 2:10 a.m. at the Divine Infant Hospital, Wakofield, where she was admitted eight ago for treatment of a heart condition. Mrs. Massie, whose major interest during her 44 years residency here, was in education of youth and the welfare of the schools, retired June 30, 1956. after 35 consecutive years of service on the Board of Education as trustee of the Bessemer School District.

The former Jane L. Quirk. Mrs Massie was born in Houfih- ton! on April 23, 1884, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Quirk.

After graduation from the Houghton High School, she entered the University of Michigan. graduating in June 1912. She came lot Bessemer in the fall of 1912. as a instructor of English in the A. D.
