The bank points out that there has been a large decline in foreign securities afforded on the American market. The outcome of pres ent tendencies, lt Is declared, will be a revival of gold Imports, wnicn, if checked, will lead to a reduction of the American trade balance.

RYING TRUST CO. VAULT 2D LARGEST The subterranean compartment containing the vault under the Irving Trust Company's new headquarters building at 1 Wall street will be the second largest of its kind In New York City, it is believed. The largest is that of the New York Federal Reserve Bank which protects United States gold reserves. This vault will extend the run length of the block from Broadway to New street and will be forty feet In width. It will contain three floors.

It will rest on solid rock, wall below the water level, sixty- nine feet under Broadway.
