"it Graduation Supplement Lebanon Daily News, Wednesday, May 13, 1964 Wins Honors To Graduate Nine Ministerial Students At Commencement Of Myerstown EC Seminary Nine ministerial students will be graduated June 6 during the ninth annual commencement program conducted by the Evangelical Congregational School of Theology at Myerstown. Five of the graduates, including an Annville man, will receive bachelor of divinity degrees. The other four will receive a diploma in theology. Scheduled to receive bachelor of divinity degrees are: Mark Ross King, Annville; Herbert David Albright, Hatfield; Robert Milton Daneker, Schuylkill Haven RD Roy A. Smith, Dauphin; and Russell Clarence Wentling, Schuylkill Haven.

Scheduled to receive a diploma in theology are: Donald Rohrer Barley, Bath; James a 1 i Shields, Dauphin; Kenneth H. Shirey, Reading; and Robert Charles Trego, Birdsboro. Commencement Speaker The Rev. Dr. Hermann W.

Kaebnick. bishop of the eastern area of the Evangelical United Brethren Church, will deliver the commencement address. His theme will.be, "The Minister as Servant of the Eternal Christ." The Rev. Dr. Kenneth R.

Maurer. dean of the school of theology, will present the candidates for graduation. The Rev. Harrison S. Heffner, Lebanon, president of the board of trustees of the school of The Rev.

Dr. Harold H. Scanlin bishop of the EC Church, i 1 read the Scripture lesson and also lead the prayer. A solo will be sung by Lee Koch el of after which Dr Maurer will introduce the speaker The benediction will be delivcret by the Rev. Paul Cressman, superintendent of the western district of the East Pennsylvania Conference.

Ehrig, superintendent of the eastern district of the East Pennsylvania Conference of the EC Church. Rev. Mark R. King King, a member of the Evangelical United Brethren Church, was licensed to preach by the Eastern Conference in 1951. Since 1960 he has been serving the Annville Circuit comprising Salem (Ono), Bethel (Lickdale), Mover's and Milton Grove churches.

He resides at 23 S. Lancaster Annvilie. King was born in Boston, in 1925 and was graduated from high school there in 1943. He received his bachelor of science degree from Gordon College, Beverly Farms, in 1957 and attended Staley College Graduate School, Boston, in 1957 and 1958 and Gordon Divinity School, Beverly Farms, during 1959-1960. Prior to coming to Annville, he served Grace Church, Everett, 1950-58; and Grace Church and Calvary Church, Medford, from 1958-1960.

He will receive a new assignment at the Eastern Conference session in June. LVC Physics Major To Take Part In Institute ANNV1LLE Barry L. Lutz, a junior majoring In physics at Lebanon Valley College, is one of 51 college men and women chosen after a nationwide competition to participate in the third annual Summer Institute in Space Physics, July 6 to August 14. The son of Mr. and Mrs.

Ray D. Lutz, Red Lion, he is a graduate of Red Lion Area Senior High School with the class of 1951. He is attending Lebanon Valley College on a full tuition scholarship and is enrolled in the independent study program of the department of physics, where he is also a teaching intern. During his freshman and sophomore years, he was enrolled in the college wide Honors Program He has been on the Dean's List for academic achievement every semester since he began his stmly at LVC. During the present academic year, he has also been an associate editor of the "Qulttapa- hilla," the yearbook published by the junior class.

Only two other Pennsylvania sidents besides Lutz were selected for the institute: John E. Mercer. of Prospect Park, a student at Swarthmore College, and Mary Pontzer of St. Mary's, a Seton Hill College. Each partict pant in the institute will grant covering the cost of summer tuition at Columbia, a subsistence allowance of a week, roundtrip travel expenses from his home to New York City, and a fieW trip to United States space centers.
