When pinned Another lovely miscellaneous shower for a bride-to-be, Miss Martha Moore, was given by the Misses Caryl Pratt and Naomi Geiger at the Pratt home on Wood last week. The affair was in a form of a surprise to the honoree as the guests -had assembled before and cleverly arranged the miscellaneous gifts in a novel way. Each gift was attached to.

four yard-length ribbon and hid in a tree in the back of the Pratt home. The ribbons were then encircled around and around the limbs of the tree with many-colored paper puff-balls attached to the ends. The honoree had to unwind this entanglement before she could get to a gift. The tree resembled a huge cobweb and the motto of the evening was to see how- good she would be able to keep the cob webs away in her future home. After games were played peach mousse and cookies were served.

Guests were: Mrs. Geiger, Mrs. Pratt, Miss Martha Moore, Mrs. Stanley Alfred, Misses Elizabeth Thornburg, Lois Baker, Jennie Marie Warren, Estber Butler and the two hostesses: Miss Moore is to be married to Wendell Rex August 4. She is employed in the engineering building as a secretary and Mr.

Rex is attending Theological school in Boston. Men Have Bridge Party The weekly bridge games tor men of the Ames Golf and Country club was held Monday evening with B. J. Firkins in charge of games. Three tables were surrounded and prizes were awarded to J.
