Nagcl told police that he had been standing on the sidewalk but that he started toward the fight in the street just as the police arrived.

The police took Congua and Caspar 1o the hospital and Reid to the Englewood police station where it was found he had cut on his hand. When questioned by police Reid denied the possession of a knife. When police asked him how he received the wound to his hand, he replied, "That's what I'd like to know." Reid's story of 1ho accident was similar to a of Nagel. He told police that there was not much damage to either car and that he wanted to forget the incident. CONVALESCING.

Szeayski, 6215 Whippie st. MORE ABOUT Kidnap-Robbery (Continued from Page 1) blown out," one bandit directed the boys. The kidnapped youths directed the bandits to the Clearing Industrial Emergency hospital, 5548 W. 65th st. Herding their victims into the hospital, the bandits used guns to force the physician to treat the wounded gunman, Braje said.

Dr. James Mahoney, 1036 N. Dearborn the physician, said yesterday the wounded bandit had a slight flesh wound in the left shoulder. The bendits narrowly escaped capture when a cruising police car took the license number of the automobile parked outside the hospital but failed to notice anything suspicious, the doctor said he learned yesterday morning. Warn Doctor.

"When we left the hospital, the bandits warned the doctor not to call the police for 15 minutes or he'd be sorry." After leaving the hospital, the bandits drove their captives around the South side for about half an hour. They attempted to tune in police calls on the radio of the car but could not get them, Braje said. However, the bandits kept a sharp lookout for police cars as they cruised north on Central east on 55th south on California ave. and east on 26th st. to Mozart ave.

where they released the young men at 1 a.m. after warning them to "forget what we look" like and everything that has happened." Report Theft. Braje and' Terihaj took a street car to Archer and Kedzie aves. where they called police and reported the kidnapping and the theft of their car. Police took them home after they completed their report to investigating officers of the Chicago Lawn station.

The three gunmen had with them several bottles of liquor, cartofis'of cTgarets, a portable radio and a box which apparently contained money which they transferred when they abandoned their bullet-riddled car. The car belonging to Terihaj was found abandoned at 26th st. and Wentworth ave. about one hour after the young men were released. It was not damaged.

Fingerprints were taken from both of the automobiles used by the "wild west" gunmen and from the x-ray equipment in the hospital. Braje said neither he nor Terihaj were mistreated or robbed with the exception of a cuff on the head he received from the largest of the trio when he refused to get out of the car when they were first halted by the bandits. MORE ABOUT Lions Forum (Continued from Page 3) understood words in the country, Mr. Lawes said. It presupposes that a man will serve a sentence until he is prepared to re-enter society.

"No one disagrees with the theory," he admitted, "but the public has lost confidence in it because of political abuse." In addition, or perhaps because of this, he said, the public has adopted an attitude which makes it difficult for the released prisoner to make good. "Prisoners are taught a trade in prison," the penologist explained. "But they are not allowed to practice it when they are released if it is known they are jailbirds. This is a terrific handicap to men who want to make good." The Lions forum, recessed now for the Christmas season, will resume meetings Monday evening, January 12, when Carrol Binder, foreign editor of the Chicago Daily News, will speak on "This World in 1942."
