Kehoe, whose average hovers around the 150 mark, stepped up to take his turn j'n the second game of the evening and time after time floored the 10 pins at the other end of the alley. For 10 straight frames he garnered clean strikes and his first extra ball also swept the alley clean.

As his fellow officers gathered around him for the all-important twelfth ball, he stepped calmly up to the line, like he was interviewing a prisoner at the show up. The ball sped truly toward the one-three pocket, perhaps a little but with a little luck he could have expected the pins to fall. All but the stubborn six pin did fall to give the officer a 299 game. His other two games totaled only 298, so he was held to a 597 series as the Englowoori team sponsored by the Grogans, downed-the Sachs cjuintct in two-out-of-three games. LEGAL NOTICES I .1.
