ThaPhatoa-Ttlbunt. |,ngaiiapoit. lad.—is Flora Home Seeking For Patients Without Friends US 24 W & WHEATLAND «f fll FAMILY STORE" US 24 W 4 WHEATLAND FLORA-Tho Brethren Home of Flora is announcing a new and different program which asks for community participation. -The home needs visitors for some of the residents who are bedfast and have no family .nearby or,-Just enjoy lots-of company.: Adopt-a-patient program would involve possibly one visit a week at the convenience of the volunteer. The volunteers would read and write letters if necessary, take the resident for walks or rides, play games or just sit and chat. Lists of residents available for the adopt-a-patient program will be mailed to local ministers and can also be obtained by calling or visiting the Brethren Home office in Flora. Flora Lions Club will have a Halloween party and contest for the community. There will be costume judging, games and Hotels Planned TAIPEI, Taiwan (UP1) .The Tourism Bureau has approved the construction of 21 International tourist hotels with 6,349 rooms, to be completed in three years. Of the 21 hotels, 15 will be in Taipei. More than 1,000 rooms are expected to be ready by the end of this year. refreshments. On hand to give the new charter a fresh start was .National Vicc-President Barry- Kennedy, a Nebraska native. Kennedy emphasized the theme "leadership training through community service," and spoke about what the Jaycee organization has meant to him, and what it can do for others. Temporary officers were elected to lead the organization. They are Roy Ousley,. president; 'Kurt Gibson, internal V.P.; Chuck Maxwell, external V.P.; Ed Lytle, secretary; and Alan Shuler, treasurer. - •' Home Endeavors Extension Homemakers Club will meet at the home of Leona Collins at 7:30 P.M.
