SOCIAL AND CLUB LIFE IN BR BROOKLYN News of Brides And -Be A pretty wedding of the season took place Wednesday evening, October 21, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. James Wilson Snedden of 527 Lafayette avenue, their daughter, Miss May Wilson Snedden, became the bride of Frederick Wilson Turnbull of 62 Euclid avenue. The Rev. W.

W. W. Wilson DeKalb Avenue M. E. Church performed the ceremony.

The home was tastefully decorated for the occasion. The bride was attired in white crete meteor and pearls. 'She carried a shower bouquet of white roses and lilies of the valley. The bride's sister, Miss Ethel Snedden. wore pink chiffon and pink silk, and carried a bouquet of pink roses.

Wilson Sneddon, brother of the bride, was best man. After the reception Mr. and Mrs. Turnbull left for the South. When they return they will reside at 3902 Avenue Flatbush.

W. Campbell of 400 Clermont avenue. Miss Mallett's attendants were Mrs. L. Reed, bridesmaid, and Miss Margaret Mallett and Miss Ruth Dollard, flower girls.

Dr. Jacob W. Loch, who married Miss Ahlers' parents twenty-four years ago. Attending Miss Ahlers were Miss Gladys Irene Williamson as maid of honor, Miss Emily A. Casey and Miss Lucy P.

Wissner and Walter C. Spies. bride's gown was of white embroidered net and white satin. The veil of tulle. arranged in cap fect with orange blossoms, and she carried bouquet of white orchids and lilies of the valley.

The maid of honor wore a gown of gold lace and white satin and carried a large' bouquet of purple chrysanthemums. The bridesmaids' gowns were of lavender charmeuse and chiffon. One of the attractive weddings that took place in Bay Ridge recently was that of Miss Jeanette Abigail Frye, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George W. Frye of 515 Fifty-eighth street, who was married to Richard Henry Gadd. The wedding ceremony was performed by the Rev.

Father McGowan, at the Roman Catholic Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Fifty-ninth street and Fifth avenue. The bride was attired in a gown of ivory satin, duchess lace and pearls. She wore a tulle veil with orange blossoms. Miss Frye was attended by her sister, Miss. Lillian M.

The former, Miss Anna Soper, a sister of the bride, was gowned in pale pink chiffon and pink satin, and carried a bouquet of white chrysanthemums. Their gowns were of pale yellow satin and chiffon. They carried bouquets of white chrysanthemums. Little Dorothy Halliday flower girl. She was dressed in white. Irving Kent Parks, cousin of bridegroom was best man and the ushers were Jack Wallberg, Frank Clancey, Kenneth Wnite and Jack Wiepert.

The Rev. E. M. Halliday, pastor of the Ocean Avenue Congregational Church, officiated at the ceremony. After the ceremony a reception was given at the home of the bride.

The occasionas tastefully decorated for the Mrs. Esther Miller has announced the engagement of her daughter, Miss Esabel Olga Kalame, to Harry F. Collins. Mrs. Miller gave an informal dinner at her home, 741 McDonough street, last Wednesday evening.

Her guests were: Mrs. John A. Collins and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Nathan of Chicago and Mr.

and Mrs. Martin Witnich of Atlanta, Ga. Mr. Collins is well known in Brooklyn musical circles. The engagement of William Edward Hoffman and Miss Emma Coifax Dayton has just been announced.

Miss Dayton is a former Brooklyn girl. She has made her home in Los Angeles for the past three years. Miss Dayton is visiting in Brooklyn and has been the honoree at affairs given by the Alpha Pi Epsilon Sorority, of which she is a member. Mr. Hoffman is a wellknown Brooklyn man and a member of the Omega Alpha Pi fraterniay.

This affair will be held Thanksgiving Eve, November 25, at the Academy of Music. It will be the first of a series of social activities to be held during the winter season by the Lyceum.
