He does it; all the time -with all kinds of people. Headquarter For Facts In addition to getting qualified advice on any major purchase, you undoubtedly look it over pretty carefully yourself. It's not too different with a security. Tips and rumors are undepend-able. Stock and bond prices go down as well as up and a company may not make a profit, may not pay interest or a dividend.

So you need facts. And a Registered Representative has a great deal of information. Member Firms, all told, spend millions of dollars for research about companies and securities. Study the facts a Registered Representative will give you evaluate them with him and you've taken another big step along the road to a second income. Headquarters For Service Let's assume that you've decided to buy some stock listed on the New York Stock Exchange.

Once you've told the Registered Representative what and how much, you place your order and your Member Firm sends it promptly to its representative on the floor of the Exchange. That's the nation's market place where orders to buy or sell securities come together from investors all over the country. There, your Member Firm's man finds a seller and your order is executed, usually in minutes. That's all there is to it. You'll be one of many part-owners of a company.

If things go well, you can share in its profits-and in its growth. All you pay for the experienced service of a Member Firm is a modest commission on what you buy and sell. And, from time to time you can (and should) ask your Registered Representative to review your securities with you. There's something you can do right now about getting that second income. Bond Issue Asked lo Improve 'Feeder' Streets LOS ANGELES (AP) Los Angeles' city administrative officer proposed yesterday a 149 million dollar bond issue be placed on the ballot to improve all feeder streets leading into freeways. Samuel Leask Jr. told Mayor Xorris G. Poulson the accelerated freeway program, aided by federal and state funds, would be nullified unless feeder streets are improved simultaneously. He suggested the bond issue go on the May 26 ballot.

Leask said the money would be spent over a seven-year period. Of the sum, $12,200,000 would be used for grade separations; $12,800,000 for traffic control and safety lighting at intersections, and 124 million dollars for widening streets and highways and constructing bridges. The proposal will be presented to the ciiy council today.
