R. Glenn Hammer, USAF. died at Eglin AFB Hospital Friday evening after a long illness. He was 58. Maj.

Hammer was for many years a member of the American Federation of Musicians, and had been honored by being named a Member of the American Guild of Organists. He was a graduate of Mansfield State Teachers College in his native state of Pennsylvania. He had played piano and organ with two name bands and with a number of smaller orchestras as well as performing frequently as a solo artist. W. Dennis officiating. Burial will be in Earley Cemetery. Pallbearers are Willie Shell, Bobby Whitefield, Bill Edge, Jimmy Finch, Claude Hobbs and McCullough. McLaughlin Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

T. Gannett Dies In Pensacola MTLLIGAN Tommy Garrett, a lifelong resident of Milli gan died 12:45 Sunday afternoon in a Pensacola Hospital. He was 68. Mr. Garrett was a member of the Concord Masonic Lodge 50 of Crestview and a member of the Milligan Baptist Church.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time. Details will be announced by McLaughlin Funeral Home. Mr. Garrett is survived by his widow, Mrs. Etta Garrett, a son, J.

T. Garrett of Crestview and his two grandchildren Lynn and Renee Garrett also of Crestview. Mrs. Aplin, 84 Dies Sunday CRESTVIEW Mrs. Sallie Aplin died at her home on Bay St.

He played several times for the rehearsals and performances of annual Hospital Auxiliary "Follies" and provided musical accompaniment for countless other community affairs. Less well-known, perhaps, but important to him, svas his untiring work for the blind. He served as a volunteer translator of books into Braille, and worked on dozens of children's volumes.

A veteran of over 21 years' service, Maj. Hammer a medical supply officer who had seen duty in Japan, Korea, England and North Africa. He served his last tour before retirement at Eglin AFB Hospital and was transferred as a patient to the new hospital just a day before his death. He retired in 1959 and he and his wife remained in Fort Walton Beach, making their home at 365 Gardner Drive, NE. Maj.

a was a life member of the BPOE Lodge of Williamsport, Pa He was a nber of the Fort Walton Beach Rotary Club and of the Northwest Florida Retired Officers Club. Funeral services will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church, where he had been a member for many years. The Rev. Fr.

Patrick Cunningham will officiate and the Children's Choir will sing, at services to be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday. The Rosary will be recited on Monday night at 7:30 m.
