Expect 1,000 to Compete in War Garden Festival Event Will Be Held September 18 and 19 in Marquette Park. They're the three female and one male kittens of Inky, a handsome, black cat. The four kittens are just eight weeks old, but they are already house-trained and show signs of becoming excellent house pets. Two Solid Black. HOLY NAME GROUP TO HAVE BREAKFAST Event Wilt Be Held September 12 After Communion Men of the St. Theodore parish Holy Name society will attend a communion a a Sunday morning, September 12.

All the men of the parish will receive communion in a group at the 8 o'clock mass. Immediately after the mass, the men will go to the parish hall for the breakfast which will be served by women of the Altar and Rosary society. Job's Daughters Pick South Siders For High Offices Four Chicagoans Elected to International at 23rd Annual Session. Four Chicagoans, three of them from the South side, were elected to international offices of Job's Daughters when its members from the United States and Canada gathered at Milwaukee August 17 to 20 for the 23rd annual session of the supreme guardian council. Mrs. Rosa M. Schneeberger.

6815 Michigan was elected as supreme guardian, and Mrs Hazel F. Nickerson, 7635 Perry was made supreme secretary. The Chicagoans elected to office were Mrs. Grace Holtom, 11141 Esmond supreme chaplain, and Mrs. Adam Trapp, 5338 Leland supreme outer guard.

In the ceremony in which Mrs. Schneeberger was inaugurated as supreme guardian she was escorted by her daughter, Mrs. Norma Osborne, and her son-in- law, Harold Osborne, preceded by Merle Ann Widman as flower girl. She was surrounded by some 60 knights of Wisconsin, a large group of Wisconsin members dressed in their Bethel robes and about 13 Job's Daughters from Illinois dressed in formals. Music was provided by the double trio of Illinois under the direction of Harriet Stanley.

Solos were sung by Marilyn Levitt, Doiis Vollert and Harriet Stanley of Chicago and Jean Shearer of Cincinnati. Dependent Children Pay Visit to Planetarium Dependent children from six Chicago institutions were special guests of the Citizens' Service league at the Adler planetarium Wednesday afternoon, R. H. Honor Immaculate Heart of Mary in Ceremonies Today Archbishop Stritch Will Review Procession at 4 p.m.

Parishoners of Our Lady of Guadalupe church, 3208 E. 91st will honor the Immaculate Hear of Mary at 4 m. today with a solemn piocession through the streets surrounding the church. Leading the procession will be a Y.M.C.A. band, the Standard Bearers of the American Legion and the newly organized group of Boy Scouts of the parish.

Various other organizations of the parish will precede a float bearmg the statute of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Archbishop Samuel A. Stritch, of the Chicago archdiocese, will review the procession, which will be followed with services in the church. Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament and consecration of the parish will be given in English by the archbishop and in Spanish by the Rev. A.

H. Martin, pastor of the church. The archbishop also will deliver a sermon.
