The bonds for which no specific bids were received were the $50,000 for Wallabout lands and improvements; $25,000 City Hall Improvement bonds, and the $21,241.41 Gravesend interest hond. Bids were received for them conditionally, however. The awards will not be made until to-morrow morning at 11 o'clock.

Mayor Wurster, when seen at the conclusion of the sale, was reluctant to saymg anything. He thought, however, that the bids received were fairly good, in view of the low rate of interest the securities bore. He also said that the fact that Now York will sell $16,000,000 bonds on the Oth inst. made to-day's sale satisfactory. The fact of the matter is.

as several told the writer, the sale was a failure, not only in the small number of bids received, but in the prices that accompanied thorn. The sale was purposely held off until after election, with the belief that the triumph of McKinley would be prolific of great financial benefit to the city. When it is considered that all of the bonds mature within forty years, the result oonnot be looked upon with favor. in by W. the of a of and of 11-4 White California Blanket 11-4 Strictly all wool Blanket Mohair Plush Lap Robe French Sateen Comfortable full size 1,00 Extra Heay and Large Crochet 1.25 4lb.
