torn a A Fatal Ride, St. IiOxns, June 25. The terrible accident which befel a party of young San Francisco pleasure seekers near Felton, was even more appalling in its details than at first reported. A Globe-Democrat special says the young people, twelve in number, started out for a moonlight ride to Santa Cruz and to attend a dance at the latter place. They were members of a big camping party near Felton, which is six miles from Santa Cruz, and all were from this city.

A hay wagon and four horses were secured "at Felton. The party left the camp early Friday evening, and on the way a slight accident happened to the wagon, but it was patched up. After the 'dance and a general good time at Santa Cruz, another team was secured and the party started on their return trip. Abouu two miles from camp, on the country road over which they traveled, there is a particularly dangerous point. The road has been cut along the side of the mountain, and at this point it is narrow and made out of planking.

The road runs also on the verge of a precipice several hundred feet high, overlooking the boisterous stream known as the San Leandro creek. The roadway is so narrow that there is room for one team only, provision being made at stated inteivels for teams to pass one another. It was about 1 o'clock when the party reached this place. It was very dark, the moon having set. In some unaccountable manner the driver lost control of the forward span of horses, the others became unmanageable aDd backing wildly, the entire outfit, horses stage and thirteen persons in it, went down over the precipice, a distance of about nisety feet, below.

The stage was demolished and the horses were instantly killed or died sood after, and four of the party were killed and three seriously injured. Those of the party who were uninjured crawled out from the wrecked stage and set about extricating their companions. The cries of the horses and groan3 of the wounded persons were terrible. Two of the party set out immediately to obtain medical aid, but not knowing the locality wandered about in the woods. About half an hour after the accident two wood choppers in camp, near by, hearing the groans of the wounded, went to their assistance.

The names of the killed are Geo. Scott, son of ex-Supervisor Scott, of this city. Eva Hussey. Ida Cowdery, daughter of City and County Attorney Cowdery. Celia Clark.

The following were found insensible, and it is feared their injuries are fatal: Ben Burling, nephew of Jas. V. Burling, of this city. Wm. Mocfcbee.

J. D. Bartb. Burling is badly bruised about the head. A Miss Davis, of this city, was also in the wagon, but escaped with slight bruises.
