Hauser's was a colonial arrangement in autumn colors in a white Widgewood vase. Mrs. John Bove was introduced by Mrs. Beverly Bailey, a former club president. Mrs.

Bove spoke about the Restoration of the Hermitage in HoHoKus, a gothic Revival Home, and its former gardens. The Hermitage has been designated as a historical building. Mrs. Bove outlined the future plans for this famous Early Gothic house, and the gardens. This project is being undertaken by Friends of the Hermitage who are appealing for public support to insure this Revolutionary house for future generations to enjoy.

It was left as a gift to the State of New Jersey by the late Miss Mary Elizabeth Rosencranz, the last owner. Many famous men of the Revolutionary War era were entertained in the gracious house, including General George Washington and Aaron Burr. The December meeting will be at the home of Mrs. Beverly Bailey in Ridgewood. It will be a Christmas Party and luncheon.

Mrs. N. Leonard Jarvis and Mrs. Gardner C. Hudson will be co-hostesses.

A trustee since the formation of Friends of the Hermitage in January of 1972, June Burns Bove has been interested in historic preservation in our area for many years. In 1970 and 1971 she wrote about the plightof the Hermitage in the BULLETIN of the Woman's Club of Ridgewood. She is a member of the Ridgewood Bicentennial Commission. Mrs. Bove attended the Ridgewood schools and was graduated from Bucknell University.

She enjoyed a career in book publishing as subsidiary rights director for a major New York firm. She has been active in Ridgewood as president of St. Elizabeth's Episcopal Churchwomen 1970-72 and as a member of the Woman's Club, the Y.W.C.A., and as a worker for the United Way. Mrs. Bove's husband is Dr.

John F. Bove, a professor at The Cooper Union in New York City. They have two children, Adele and Catherine. Obituaries Adelaide Forster lived United BOCA RATON. Fla.

Adelaide E. Forster of 15 S. E. 13th St. died Nov.

16 in Pine Rest Nursing Home, Paramus. She was Mrs. Forster was in Italy. She came to the United States many years ago. She lived in Ridgewood 60 years, before moving to Florida in October.

She was a registered pharmacist. She was a a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Ridgewood and a member of the Ridgewood Woman's Club. She is survived by a son, Dr. George M. Himadi of Chapel Hill, N.C.: three grandchildren, and a greatgrand daughter.

Her husband, Bernhard, died in 1964. There was a graveside service Nov. 19 in Valleau Cemetery, Ridgewood. C.C. Arrangements were by Van Emburgh of Ridgewood." Johanna Markus HAWTHORNE Johanna Marie Markus, 71, died Nov.

20 in Valley Hospital, Ridgewood. Mrs. Markus was born in Germany. Israel Bond supper to honor Dr. Rosenthal moving to Hawthorne 15 years ago. She is survived by her, husband, Bruno; a daughter, Ruth Verhage of Wyckoff; a sister, Alma Rokel in Germany and two granddaughters. Services were held Nov. 23 in the Browning- Forshay Funeral Home, 557 Lafayette ave.

Cremation was in Cedar Lawn Cemetery, Paterson. Elizabeth G. Kenney States in 1927. She in Wyckoff before RIDGEWOOD Elizabeth G. Kenney of 81 California St.

died Nov. 21 in Valley Hospital. She was 69. Mrs. Kenney was born in New York.

She was a resident of Ridgewood for more than 60 years and attended school there. She was a member of the Women's Club of Ridgewood. She is survived by a daughter, Elizabeth Kenney of Ridgewood and several nephews. Her husband, James died in 1971. Funeral services were Nov.

23 at Christ Episcoal Church, Ridgewood. Burial was in Maryrest Cemetery, Mahwah. Arrangements were handled by C.C. Van Emburgh Mortuary, 306 E. Ridgewood Ave.

Donations to the American Cancer Society would be appreciated. Johanna M. Hauge GLEN ROCK Johanna M. Hauge died Nov. 22 in Valley Hospital, Ridgewood.

She was 70. She moved here a month ago from Minot, N.D., where she was born. Mrs. Hauge was a retired schoolteacher. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church and its Women's Organization in Minot.

Survivors include. two sons, Hans M. of Glen Rock and Oliver M. in Japan; a brother, Kermit Larson of Seattle; a sister, Mildred Anderson of Minot, and four grandchildren. Her husband, Paul, predeceased her.

Burial was in Minot. Vander Plaat Colonial Home, Fair Lawn handled arrangements. Hawthorne-Glen IGLEN ROCK Dr. Herbert S. Rosenthal, who flew to Israel shortly after the Yom Kippur War as well as the Six-Day War of 1967 to help with the orthopedic rehabilitation of the wounded, will be honored for his varied efforts in behalf of Israel and the Jewish Community.

The tribute, under tne joint auspices of the Glen Rock Jewish Center and the Israel Bond Committee, will take place at a reception and supper on Tuesday evening, Dec. 17, at the The announcement of the Bond testimonial was made by Dr. Paul Shapiro, who is serving as general chairman of the 1974 Bond campaign. Rosenthal has been involved in the activities of the Jewish Center, and has played a key role in both Israel Bond and UJA campaigns. On both post-war occasions, he spent a month in Israel at the hospital in Naharyia in 1967 and at Hadassah Hospital in December, 1973. Dr. Herbert Rosenthal at Israel Bond supper Dr. Rosenthal and his wife, Florence, who is pursuing her master's degree at Yeshiva University, have two daughters, Jane, a sophomore at the University of Michigan and Barbara, a junior at Glen Rock High School.

Van Tassel of the Bergen County Court will be the guest speaker at the final session of "Law for the a course in the Ridgewood Community School. The public is invited, free of charge, to hear Judge Van Tassel from 8 to 9:30 p.m. on Dec. 12 at Ridgewood High School. A resident of Ridgewood and a graduate of the local high school, Judge Tassel is a graduate of Notre Rock-Bidetvedd Shopper, Wednesday, Dame Law School.

He was a member of the Ridgewood Board of Commissioners from 1962 to 1967. For four of those years he was police and fire commissioner.
