A theory has been promulgated in India that the plague arose from wheat. The result is that no wheat oi flour will be received in other parts oi India from Bombay. The authorities ia Calcutta have forbidden the receipt of flour ground at flour mills at Bombay. Under no circumstances, therefore, must the grain be sent to Bom; bay. If, before ittr arrival in India, the plague should break out in Calcutta, this city would be put into the same position, and the grain would have to remain there.

They had all partaken ol new potatoes raised in the neighborhood the vines of which had been freely sprinkled with Paris green to kill the potato bugs. The poisonous mixture affected the potatoes, and all who ate them soon became deadly sick. Fortunately only seventeen were seriously affected, and with prompt medical attention they have all recovered. Fred Senning of Louisville, was the most seriously affected, and for a time it was feared he would die. He is much improved now.

A later dispatch from West Baden says no one was poisoned, but that -several were made sick from over-heating. New Albany Ledger. Hir tint dua tili natent secured. some use to the suffering people of In and statesmen, for instance, Washington, Jefferson, Webster. Clay and Voorhees.

We cannot describe In words all the wonders of Yellowstone Park, with its great geysers; the beautiful Yosemite Valley in California, the sublimity and grandeur of Niagara Falls.
