Wilson and Fannie Harm Warr. Both were members of the Eton College Qommunith United Church of Christ. Dr. Dawson. the Alamance County Mother of the Year in UH, was an associate member of the First Baptist Church of -Morgan Place.

She was named to the "Who's Who of American Women" and was active in the Altrasa Ctab, and Professional Women's dub, the N.C. and American Vocational Association, while her husband was a member of the Eton. Exchange Club. She was listed in "Personalities in the South." "Who's Who in North Carolina," and she participated in many state civic and governmental groups and was a member of the President's Advisory Committee on Education during the Nixon Administration. She was a vocational and adult educator in Burlington from 1947 through 1967 and past-president of the League of Women Voters in North Carolina in 1968.

She was a member of the Governor's Commission of State Government Reorganization in 1970. Surviving Mr. Dawson are one son, Robert E. Dawson of Rocky River, one daughter, Mrs. Virginia Vaughn of Cleveland.

Dawson of Rocky River, 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. The joint funeral service will be conducted at 11 a jn. Tuesday at the Eton College Community Church by the Rev.

Yates MEBANE Mrs. Allie Strickland Yates. 83, of 204 N. 1st St. Mebane, died Sunday in the Skilled Nursing Division of the Memorial Hospital of Alamance County following 18 months failing health.

A native of Durham County, she was the daughter of the late Melvin and Leila Strickland and the wife of the late Norman G. Yates. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Mebane. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Hobart C.

(Dorothy) Smith of Charlotte; three sons, Norman- G. Yates Jr. of Greensboro, W. G. Yates of Mebane Billy W.

Yates of Efland; three sisters, Mrs. Ahnie Jacobs, Mrs. Daisy GriswoW, Mrs. Lillie Denning, all of Durham; three brothers. Thomas Strickland of Graham, Meivin Strickland and Ralph Strickland, both of Durham: 14 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the First Baptist Church in Mebane by the Rev. Charles R. Lemley, pastor, assisted by the Rev. Carl Elier.
