Since 1957, the building has been located at its present location at 1250 East Sherwood Drive. J. Little, a Denver banker who had come to Fruita. Mr. Little, together with various groups, sold some $32,500 worth of stock to local people. A board of directors was set up with Gilbert Miller as first president of-the bank and Emmett Elizondo as vice-president of the board.

Mr. Little was named assistant cashier and secretary of the board, and it was he who actually ran the new bank. 1937 Johnsons House of Flowers 1350 North Avenue Grand Junction, CO 1993 marks the 56th anniversary of Johnsons House of Flowers, the oldest business on North Avenue. The greenhouses were built in 1938 and the original shop was built by Stephen Johnson Sr. and Steve Jr. in 1940. At that time North Avenue was the highway to Palisade.
