Mrs. Bramlett will report on the conference on youth and children she attended at the White House.

The mooting, to begin at 10 a.m., will be followed by a luncheon. A nursery will be provided for pre-school children with a travelog for school age children to be shown. Mothers are asked to bring a sack lunch for their children. Anyone wishing to attend should call Mrs. A.

muMx: t3ipW $595 Committee Chairmen Appointed Appointment of committee chairmen was made at the meeting of the recently reactivated Dcvore Unit 700 of the American Legion Auxiliary at Devore Legion Clubhouse Wednesday night. The chairmen are as follows: Mmes. Genevieve Anderson, education, Girls' State; Ida Cloud, child welfare, junior activities; Dorothy Driscoll, publicity; Sarah Gladwin, past presidents parley; Cherie Meyer, Americanism, legislation; Gwenivere Miller, national security; Adeline Slobom, membership, poppies; Lois Slobom, music; and Helen Swan, parliamentarian, by-laws. Reports were given on two summer activities: The community breakfast and the bake-sale. Two future events were announced: A community spaghetti dinner at the clubhouse from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

Saturday, Aug. 20. This will benefit auxiliary welfare activities. The official visit 12 of Mrs. Daisy White, the auxiliary's 23th District president.

3rd District Auxiliary Meeting Set Auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the Third District, Department of California, will hold its first meeting for the 1960-61 club year Aug. 20 at the VFW Clubhouse, 1341 Ontario. Ontario's Old Baldy Auxiliary will be hostess. The meeting will begin at 11 a.m. with a school of instruction lor auxiliary presidents and district chairmen to be held.

District officers will hold drill practice at this time. Regular meeting will convene at 1:30 p.m. A light luncheon will be served at noon. Each auxiliary is asked to bring four dozen sandwiches. The hostess group will furnish salads and beverages.

Following the district meeting there will be a steak dinner at the VFW Clubhouse. All those attending are invited to stay for the dinner and "an evening of fun."
