-Next Sunday's baseball game at Athletic Park, between the P'acifica of San Francisco and the Santa Cruz team, promises to be one of the evente of the season. If the day is pleasant a large attendance is expected to be present. We can't be beaten doing up Lace Curtaine. R. Johnson went to San Francisco Friday afternoon on a business trip. Mrs. Geo. Snyder and Miss May Holmes returned Friday from Pomona.

Rev. J. T. Lawrence is in Hollister, with the view of organizing a Baptist congregation there. The Sons of Veterans gave a ball: at the Sea Beach Friday evening, which was a pleasant affair.

Miss Addie McKean, once of Santa Cruz, is now a Lieutenant in the Salvation Army, San r'rancisco. Miss Anita Barrett, who for the past two months has been visiting friends in Sacramento, has returned home. Next Monday Mrs. W. H.

Lamb and family will go up to Ben Lomond, where they will occupy their cottage for the summer. Nathan Cohen, after a week's visit to his brother, Aaron Cohen, in this city, will return to his home in San Francisco to-morrow. Cards are out for an At Home next Thursday by Mrs. A. J.
