Moving Fund OK'd for Evictees Continued from Page ough President Cashmore's office, State officials and Construction Coordinator Robert Moses worked out a plan to offer the families the cost of moving themselves plus a little extra to induce them to find other quarters. The city would make lump-sum pay-! ments up to $500 to the tenants involved. The resolution before the Board of Estimate today, submitted by Budget Director Thomas J. Patterson, approved expenditure of a total of $115, 000 "for tenants expenses remuneratione in consideration of the voluntary relocation of such tenants without other expense to the or city sites from of the public High improvements It calls for paying tenants who live in one, two or threeroom apartments not more than $300, those living in four room apartments, not more than $400, and those living in five rooms, not more than $500. Payments would be made under the jurisdiction of the Director of Real Estate.

$25,000 Earmarked Of the proposed appropriation. $25,000 is specifically earmarked for remuneration to tenants living on the site of the Farragut Houses, a Stateaided low-cost project. A spokesman in the Borough President's office said that the appropriation should stimulate progress on the Downtown Civic Center, specifically the widening of now being delayed because some of the houses along that roadway are still occupied. Besides, the resolution states that there are 860 families along the right-of-way of the Brooklyn Queens Connecting Highway "who will have relocated if highway construction is to proceed." It adds that the principle involved, and perhaps some of the money, could be used in re: lation to city construction atl the United Nations site in Man(hattan and the Van Wyck Expressway in Queens, where ten families now bar the way to further construction. State Aid Promised The resolution was before the board Nov.
