4 Advertiser, Lafayette, August 30, 1991 Local Entertainment Mews USL sets concert series Kershaw's music career taking off eral European radio companies. Trio members are Charles Cast-leman, violinist; Susan Salm, cellist; and Daniel Epstein, pianist. Feb. 12 The Cavani String Quartet: Since its formation in 1984, the Cavani Quartet, winner of the 1989 Naumburg Chamber Music Award, has quickly risen to the forefront among string quartets. March 12 Joseph Evans, tenor: Evans has held leading roles during eight seasons at the New York City Opera, and has appeared in more than 30 productions with the Opera Company of Boston and as a soloist with the Cleveland Orchestra and New York Philharmonic.

Recently recorded on Mercury Polygram Records, Kershaw has released a music video which premiered Aug. 20 on TNN. On Aug.

23, another music video channel, CMT on Channel 23, chose Kershaw's video as Pick Hit of the Week." His video, Cadillac Style" has recently been moved up in rotation on TNN, with the single record release due out Sept. 3. On Oct. 8, Kershaw's debut album, "Don't Go Near the Water," will be released, and from that point he will go on tour, with frequent stops for interviews. Prior to his record release, however, Kershaw will appear on "Nashville Now" -Sept.

25, and in October on the Crook and Chase" show. On Oct. 11, Kershaw will be on stage at the Cajundome with Willie Nelson and Great Plains, followed by a seven-week tour which could be extended to 12, depending on the success of his album. All things considered, things are looking up for Kershaw. He doesn't get much opportunity to perform at his local stomping grounds, the Yellow Rose, but he'll probably pop in every now and then Sammy Kershaw when he's in town.

Requests are played in the order received, and the phone company will bill the caller $2.50 for each request made. Viewer-programmed television is an idea whose time has come. The Jukebox Network, Ameri-ca's only all-viewer-programmed television network, has been launched in Lafayette on Channel 21.

The Jukebox Network's unique interactive system creates localized, consumer-driven programming, bringing Lafayette viewers the music programming that they want. Like a video version of an old-fashioned jukebox, the new 24-hour all music network allows viewers to interact with their televisions and request the music videos they want to see by calling 1-900-773-2202. The Jukebox Network affiliate on Channel 21 is individually operated, therefore only local Lafayette residents make requests. However, the entire viewership can enjoy the videos, as with any broadcast channel.
