I WARNING! Wild-Cat Insurance Concern Exposed. Insurance Commissioner Warns Citizens Against Hartford Insurance Company of New York. The Insurance Commissioner has. received many inquires of late in regard to the Hartford Insurance Company of New York. This company is not licensed in this State and could not be.

They are a "wild-cat" and "underground" concern of the worst character, and are attempting by similarity of name to get some character and business in this State because of the standing and character of the Hartford Fire Insurance Company of Hartford, Conn. The company has no money, and its officers no character, and the general manager, Rogers, has an unsavory reputation, even among the "wild-cat" promoters. Anyone representing this company will not only defraud his neighbors, but lay himself liable to fine and imprisonment. The Insurance Commissioner also desires to warn the people of the State against each and every registry company attempting to do business in the State The International Registry Commercial Registry Company and others seem to be determined to try to do business in this State without comply ing with the law, and the people are warned against the. However "'specious" their propositions may appear upon the surface, there is nothing in them for the citizens of this State.

Tue Commissione: does not understand why they should continue to flood the State with their literature and offers of business, when they have repeatedly written bim that they would not attempt to do any bustness in this State until they comply with its laws. These registry companies are going 80 far as to even publi advertisements in some of the reputable journals of the State.
