Mrs. Long was born on Septem ber 5, 1863, at Kammerer, a daughter of the late Joseph and Lucinda Howden Kammerer. On June 22, 1887, she was united in marriage with Dr. James Edward Long, who died July 6, 1893. She is survived by a son, Fran cis Owen Long, at home, and a daughter, Jean Claire, wife of George A.

Anderson, editor of the Daily Notes, of Canonsburg. She is also survived by one granddaughter, Lois Jean Anderson. An other daughter, Edith Virginia, died in infancy. Mrs. Long had lived for many years at UJ4 East iseau street, Washington.

She was a faithful member of the Second Presbyterian Church and was an active worker in the various church organizations before her physical infirmities made it necessary for her to remain at home. Prior to moving to Washington, Mrs. Long had lived in Mononga-hela.
