Jules Parish Hall. Members voted to continue donations to the milk fund and seminarian fund. Reports were offered on the state convention to be held in Lafayette during the month of May. Louise Perrodin and Mary Mire were voted in as delegates for that convention with Eunice Hutchinson and Maize Hebert named as alternates. -C7JL ffl OU Members present were: Diana Beck, Beverly Breakfield, Peggy Dunn, Linda Finley, Mary Dugas, Pam Litsey, Cheryl Moss, EUie Reuhl.

Rae Richardson, Judy LeBlanc, Paula Poissot, and Susan Tiboris. Upcoming projects for the club include games for the residents of Heritage Manor Nursing Home and a dinner auction in April to benefit the chapter's scholarship fund Pam Litsey completed the pledge ritual at the meeting and Linda Finley presented a program on inner beauty. XI IOTA Mrs. Bennye Randall of Xi Iota chapter of Beta Sigma Phi received the Order of the Rose for 15 continuous years of service with the club. Celebrating the occasion as guests were her mother, Mrs.

Youlene Smith, and her mother-in-law, Mrs. Mildred Randall. The chapter will meet at the City Club in April for the annual Founder's Day jj FLOWERS PLANTS FOR ALL OCCASIONS FRESH-SILK-DRIED CITY WIDE DELIVERY Patterson and Grubb presented a program on Poetry. A history of poetry was read with members agreeing the HMO's were the golden age of poetry. A biography of Elizabeth Barret Browning was presented and a poem, written by a USL professor, was also read.

It was reported the Exempler degree will be presented to Bette Grubb and Virginia Lynch. Service chairperson, Ginger Patterson, reported the United Christian Outreach needs childrens clothing and canned goods. The chapter agreed to hold a canned good dirve. Landry Nursing Home submitted a request for volunteers to provide transportation on Thursdays. Those interested should contact Patterson.

In a separate meeting at Toby's Restaurant, members initiated new members Ann Marie Gautreaux and Mary Dunbar Attending that meeting were members: Edwards, Grubb, Andrus, Held, Hinton, Gregory, Dugas, Martel, Parsons, Patterson, Gautreaux and Dunbar. Club members Edwards, Grubb, Andrus, Held, Hinton, Dugas, Lang, May and Patterson participated in the monthly social, a Friendship Tea, held at the City Club. BETA ETA Beta Eta chapter of Beta Sigma Phi met recently in the home of Susan Tiboris. XI ALPHA PI Xi Alpha Pi chapter of Beta Sigma Phi held its first meeting of the year in the home of Diane Ganson. Members enjoyed an excellent program presented by Linda Phillips of Nutri Systems.

Phillips stressed that good nutrition is even more important to those on a diet. She also pointed out the high number of calories present in all fast foods. Elizabeth Zimmermann and Linda Harvey reported they had visited the groups "adopted friend" in the Bethany Nursing Home. She was presented with a basket of items to brighten her day. The second meeting of January was held in the home of Zimmermann.

Pam Litsey with Mary Kay cosmetics offered members a lesson in makeup application. She offered tips on keeping the skin extra clean for improved beauty Members discused plans for another Ways and Means project to be held this spring. XI TAU Xi Tau chapter of Beta Sigma Phi held its bimonthly meeting in the home of Judy Andrus. Attending were members: Jeanne Edwards, Bette Grubb, Judy Andrus, Joyce Held, Lou Hinton, Edna Gregory, Norma Dugas, Beverly Lang, Majorie Martel, Nora May, Ginger Patterson, Ann Marie Gauthreux and Mary Dunbar. toCar) I 1J I I DELTA TAU Gail Benson and Janet Pry served as co-hostesses for a recent meeting of Delta Tau.

An informative program on "Diet: Facts and Fallacies" was presented by Pry Social chairman, Karen LeRosen, announced the next social will be a spaghetti supper for couples co hosted by Janet and Darrel Pry and Robin and Dennis Smith. A model meeting was held for the guests attending. The aims and purposes of Beta Sigma Phi were explained by the officers and committee chairmen. Guests included: Juanita Jenkins, Antoinette Grayson and Kitty Longman. Members attending were: Robin Smith, Mary Hobbs, Mary Anne LeBlanc, Gail Benson, Dotti Mynderse, Karen LeRosen, Sally Burdette, Maly Perrodin, Barbara Whiteley, Janet Pry, Comfort Weintritt and Jeanette Dover.

PRECEPTOR ALPHA Preceptor Alpha chapter of Beta Sigma Phi met recently in the home of Jane Sogga. Attending were members: Mmes. Ann Bacque, Barbara Gerami. Carolyn Hicks, Marcelle Melton, Faye Newkirk, Lee Milligan, Ginny Poe, Jane Sogga, Cheryl Whittenberg, Miss Lucille Jones and Miss Effie Mahtook. Ann Bacque and Nellie Comeaux were named to organize the February social.

It will be a gumbo and card social at the Nillies home. Nonmembers who helped at the Lagco booth will be invited. Sogga presented a program on the repair of damaged dolls.
